I couldn't find this in the NCAA rulebook anywhere. I looked under both the timing rules and in the timing rule interpretation.
Also, the above example was on successive plays. There were 2 timeouts called before the first play, then a play was run. After the play finished he tried to call another timeout but was unable to.
This is interesting if true though. I consider the rulebook required reading each year when it is released to stay up to date. In fact, I thought there was a rule like this but couldn't find it in the book. However, I thought it only applied to a single play and not on succesive plays. Maybe I am missing it. Would be good to know going into the year as we just kicked off our fall camp today. Care to point me in the right direction?
