you know...Billy Wagner can give me enough agita watching him close out games for my New York Mets in real life

, but in The Show 2008, I've had a few near heart-attack moments with Billy Wagner. Last night:
My starter, Nelson Figueroa was in line to get his first win as a New York Met. He was called up to take Pedro's spot on the roster. Pedro had a finger injury that put him on the 15-day DL.
The Mets were up 4-3 when I brought Wagner in to pitch the 9th against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.
Tony Abreu (in for Garciaparra who was ejected over a close play at first) stuck out looking-one out
Russell Martin, after fouling off about 8 pitches, got under a high fastball and popped out to Wagner near the pitchers' mound-two out
Matt Kemp, pinch hitting for Hong-Chih Kuo, HOMERS (his 4th) to left

...a 405 foot blast into the pavillion area....
It was off a 2-seamer that didn't break back far enough OFF of the plate...
and the Dodgers tie the friggin game....LOL
But my Mets got 4 runs in the top of the 12th and defeat the Dodgers 8-4.
Wagner's numbers so far:
16 games
1-1
4.59 ERA
10 saves; 2 blown saves
15.2 IP
14 hits
4 home runs
7 walks
18 K's
righties are batting .155 against him
but.....
lefties are batting .500 against him
My Mets are 22-11; 7.5 games ahead of the Phils who have lost 5 games in a row
