I had one of them pong games.
You know, 2k5 was like the Jordan era Bulls. Remember when the Pistons were the beast of the east, but little by little the Bulls were coming on and you just knew they were going to be great, and sure enough they did?
Well, playing the 2k games prior to 2k5 (except the Dreamcast versions) there was a sense that this title was going to be great someday, and sure enough 2k5 reached that great stage. 2k5 was finally better than its competitor (imo) so there wasn't a reason to even buy the other game. 2k5 was the champ in my book.
The sad difference is that we were able to see the Bull's greatness extend to 5 more championships, not end abruptly after the first.
