To me the key is trying to vote on what games were great and what games were great for their time. A great game is one that is timeless, one that I can play today and it will be just as much fun. If I played FBPro or Microleagues Baseball (speaking of, did Wayne Gretzky Hockey 3 make the list at all?) I'd still think they were solid games. There's other games that I thought were great and then playing them years later made me realize that the memory of the games were great, but not the games themselves. I think it's also hard to judge based on what might've been groundbreaking. Some people may say that Bird vs. Dr. J (was that the name?) was not a good game, but arguably there would not be an NBA Live or NBA2Kwhatever if not for that game.
