LOL, you guys must haven't actually watched him play. Numbers dont mean jack when you see a guy who's sopposed to truck through defenders get shoe string tackled by the first guy who approaches him. Often, when he does find a hole, he runs through it like a kid running across the gym in a dodge ball game. He looks scared to take a hit. He looks hesitant to hit a hole. He looks like his mind is on what he's going to get into after the game. He's tentative and soft going up the gut.
Sure, the OL is'nt helping him much but it most good RBs can create a few extra yards after the first hit. He goes down like he's a pixelated Madden player when he crosses the line. He cant stay on his feet after the first hit. You see him crumble whenever somebody touches him. His outside running game is horrendous. He moves laterally and gets nowhere. Obviously the Bears saw something in him last year when he and TJ shared the ball. And that was a guy who can truck through the gaps and shed a few tackles. Now he looks uninspired, uninterested and ready to get off the field. Maybe he's scared, maybe he doesn't trust the OL to block for him, ethier way, he looks terrible out there with those cheesey 3 yard gains. When he gets the ball, it looks like a Tecmo Bowl play when the defense chooses the correct play and every block gets shed and the play is over just as quick as it began. Granted, I'm sure even LT wouldn't be able to get 100+ yard games with this OL but at the very least, he'd break off a few big gains on his own.
Cedric is incapable and this is the Cedric I see every week. If the OL can keep Griese from being sacked on the every play, I'm sure they're somewhat capable of giving a RB the chance to get more than 2 10 yard gains in 13 carries.
