What was the most innovative feature in our genre in 2011?

2K12's Greatest Mode Captures the time period and atmosphere of the games they represent. For individuals who have never experienced those times in the NBA, it's a great way to revisit those memories. It allows players to play as (some what) those legends who shaped the NBA, for me it was awesome experience, and I hope they keep doing it.

I want to say coaching carousel, but is it really innovative if CH2k8 did it 4 years ago and imo did it better?

Re: 2011 Stevies: Most Innovative Feature

i like the create a legend mode on 2k12 where you take over a current player and play as him like in my player. its fun to take control of a guy like t-mac or carter and revive their career, or a young guy like durant and see how many championships you can reel in.

None seem particularly innovative to me but I enjoyed Champion mode most so that gets my vote. I had higher expectations of it but it was worth the rental.

FIFA 12's impact engine was my choice. For the first time, a physics engine was introduced to the sports genre and actually worked (unlike Backbreaker).

Ncaa's coaching carousal is probably the most anticipated thing i looked for in the offseason. pretty solid feature. love the changes being made and i love to get an unexpected coaching move here or there

The Show's Analog pitch stick was revolutionary for a former pro pitcher. And no, do not compare it to the crap analog stick pitching in 2K's game.

NBA2k12's Legend mode is awesome. I hope The Show does it some day.
