In my opinion, it has to go to The Show. I have been having a great time with NBA2k9, but there were more problems in that game especially with the online (they have fixed them with the patch.)

Another contender was definitely NCAA Football. It was surprising because I'm not a big college fan to enjoy this game twice as much as Madden, but the AI difficulty issues bumps it down.

NHL09 should get much consideration. I hate hockey but its such a great game to play that my hatred goes out the window. Such fluidity in the control scheme and an amazing level of detail.

In the end my choice goes to The Show. There was just so much going on in that game it should cost 100 dollars to buy. Shout out to Nemesis for his sliders that made the game 100 times more amazing.

It was another great year for sports gaming.

You can't win Sports game of the year if you're not even the best of your genre. And when considering that sports games should get better every year, The Show has no excuse to still be lagging behind MVP 05. The Show is single platform, and glitchy. No way.

NHL 09 absolutely blows The Show away imho.

I voted for Race Driver: Grid. Mainly because I know a ball sport game will win and I liked it a lot.

HC09 Is the best hands down. In depth, And incredible replay value. I have been playing it several days a weeks since i got the Madden CE and will continue to play it long after football season is over.
