Games Of The Week - 19.05
GAMES OF THE WEEK - 19.05
USA Division II.2 Tallahassee Kiasu v. Airborne Penguins (8715) The Penguins sit in 5th place with 6 points, a mere 3 points out of a first place tie between Kiasu and arabia. Kiasu are coming off a 5-nil drubbing away at Tombstone Titans, while the Penguins suffered a 3-1 defeat at home against arabia. USA Division IV.40 MoKan Mighty Bastards (70338) v. Fut Up Your Arse This match would qualify just for the names. The Bastards sit in a three way tie for second point at 7 points, 1 short of first. The Arse are at 4 points, in the first relegation slot. This would seem to be a pretty tight division. The Bastards are coming off of a 4-1 away win against fellow second place team Rockets FC, and the Arse drubbed the cellar dwelling Physics Ninjas 5-1. USA Division IV.43 North County Raiders (70913) v. North Carolina Tarheels The Raiders have managed only 1 point per game thus far, which puts them in a tie for 5th, 1 point ahead of the Tarheels for the first relegation spot. Obviously a big game for the Raiders if they want to stay in D4. Both sides lost by 2 goals last week, the Raiders 3-1 on the road, the Tarheels 4-2 at home. USA Division IV.46 Calibiri (8598) v. Braeur Football Club Two FOFC players have big games in this tight division. Calibiri are tied for first place with 9 points, while Braeur are part of a 5 way tie for third at 6 points. Calibiri were on the road last week, punishing The Losing Rejects 5-nil, while Braeur lost at home to Alexandria Arsenal 4-1. Fairfax Admirals (71139) v. Eldersburg Town Eagles These two squads are at the bottom of the five way tie for third, with Fairfax in the relegation spot on goal difference, and the Eagles just above. The Admirals were blanked 5-0 nil away versus the Raiders FC last week, while the Eagles eeked out a 1-0 win at home against the wicked smurfs. USA Division IV.51 Racoons (8546) v. World Beaters The Racoons definitely need some love. Pointless in league play this year, their only comfort is they have company, although the goal difference has them at the bottom. The Beaters are in 6th place with 4 points, so a win here would give Racoons a boost in their quest to stave off relegation. The Racoons lost last week on the road to 2nd place Flinthills 3-0, while the Beaters squeaked by 7th place Izzies 2-1 at home. USA Division V.1 Darkies v. Bull Dogs (8421) These two teams are one-two at 9 points a piece, tied with two other teams at 9 points. 'Nuff said. The Dogs managed a 1-nil victory at home last week against 3rd place snizzle nizzle a drizzle (shouldn't they be fined 10 grand a week until they change that?), while the Darkies got punked 5-1 at the home of 4th place rivendell striders. |

Wow, I'm honored rob.
![]() Should be an interesting game to watch. While ratings wise it may seem to favor me (51 to 38 according to last weeks HatStats), You never know whats going to happen when playing on the road. It's also pitting the series's #1 rated offense(3-4-3) versus #1 rated defense (4-5-1). In my beginning season review of the "Darkies" I picked them to come in fourth, right behind me in third. Their wins, and goals up to this point have come at the expense of the lower tier teams. Last weeks loss, besides giving their TS a very needed wack also gave me a decent point of reference on our squads. When I faced rivendell at his stadium two weeks ago I only lost 2-1 (and am really regretting PICing that match now. ) .The thing that really annoys me, even if I win... I will most likely drop to the 3rd spot as the 3 and 4 teams are both playing lower tier teams this week and will probably rack up the goals that my sad offense just won't get against anyone but the cellar dwellars. Ack, sorry for the rambling.. back to work on my teams website. ![]() and again, thanks for the free press for my team. -Eilim, Owner and GM of the V.1 Boston Bulldogs |

My FOFC friends, with all those high action games, it's a good thing my team plays its league games two hours before your USA league games.
With my team playing yet another crappy bot team, I'm not sure I'd follow my own game all that much if it wasn't already played when your games will roll on... ![]() FM

In the Raider defense, we're putting up our best numbers ever, according to Frogman's rankings.
I've decided to do two things. After the last loss, I fired our coach. Team spirit shot sky high. Perhaps this will lead to better performance in the ratings and on the scoreboard. The second is I've decided to return to the Raider Run n Shoot. It's what got me to D4 in the first place. It's time to return to the attack!

Hey, if you guys want to watch an absolute slaughter of a game, my match next week should be entertaining.
Playing the undisputed worst human-run HT team...ever. Seriously. And we're at home to boot, and will have delirious TS again. Heh.

No love for Morrisville, huh?
We host the most talented team in our division this week, Maryland Defect. We need to win to stay in first.

Why no love for the Hippos? Wait, because I'm going to beat the snot out of some team at home to make up for the beating I'm going to suffer in my cup game tonight.
Maybe we could start a "game of the week" feature where everyone who thinks they have a big game submits them and maybe 10 are chosen. Then again, I'm not volunteering for this job- my dynasty report takes up too much time as it is. SI

The Complex Spikes, in the pathetically weak V.249, actually have a good match this week.
After four weeks, the Spikes sit in second place with 12 points (20 Goals, 2 allowed), trailing only Sony Luangphone (22 Goals, 4 allowed). Only Sony and the Spikes have put up NSI ratings above 40 this season in V.249, so it's a safe bet that one of us will promote. In week 5, the Spikes travel to face Sony for the first time this season. Last week Sony had a rating of 45, while the Spikes put up a 46 (PIC). Both teams typically run a 3-5-2 and are evenly matched in the midfield. The Spikes have a slight defensive edge and Sony has a bit better offense. Unless some new owners jump in the second half of the season, neither team is likely to lose another match this season (except when we face each other later in the season). I don't think he has established a good training program, so I should have an advantage in the second meeting. But if the Spikes loose this week, the series will likely come down to goal differential. |

Good week in my series - 4 teams fighting for the top spot this week:
1. ThunderBolts 18 - 3, 10 pts 2. Blacksquid 14 - 3, 10 pts 3. Slithy Toves 15 - 4, 9 pts 4. Southmoreland United 13 - 2, 7 pts I'm playing away at Thunderbolts, Southmoreland is hosting Blacksquid. Previous results amongst the four: Blacksquid defeat Slithy Toves 2-1 Slithy Toves defeat Southmoreland 1-0 Thunderbolts tie Blacksquid 0-0 Should be an interesting Sunday. Please note that Blacksquid is, to the best of my knowledge, not colossal. |
