FOFC Sprint Cup Series - Season 3 - Preseason - 2 Open Spots
Welcome to Season 3 of the FOFC Sprint Cup Series.
2 more spots are open for the new season if you still wish to get in. Current drivers, now is the time to send in new stats for Season 3 or change your car. Driver Application Name: Age: Team: Preferred Numbers: (Give 2 or 3) or Preferred Sponsors: (Give 2 or 3) Visit Sim Racing Design - Downloads - Fictional Cars , NNRacing.com | Your Auto Racing sim community or Racin Grafix NR2003 Downloads - SS.Net COT Mod - SS.net COT Paint Schemes - SS.net COT (Cup physics) to look for different cars for your driver. These users, NNRacing.com | Your Auto Racing sim community & NNRacing.com | Your Auto Racing sim community , usually have some good designs. If you would like to just pick a number I will find a car for you, if you would like a specific sponsor I can look for a car with that sponsor. We are using NR2003 for the series and using the SS.net COT car mod for that game. Not all cars will be compatible with the mod we are using so make sure to have backup options as well. All drivers please PM with your stats. The following will explain how to create your drivers stats. ***If you would rather have me create a stat set for you I would be willing to do so. But there is no guarantee on how well the driver will perform with those stats. He could be a top driver or could be near the back. Just give me an idea of a few strengths of your driver and a few weaknesses and I will create the stats.*** You have 200 points to add to the first stat set. The Min number can go no lower than 70. The Max number can go no higher than 100. Their must always be at least 5 points between your Min and Max numbers. Driver Stats Agression: Min 70 Max 75 Consistency: Min 70 Max 75 Finishing: Min 70 Max 75 Qualifying: Min 70 Max 75 Road Course: Min 70 Max 75 Short Tracks: Min 70 Max 75 Speedways: Min 70 Max 75 Super Speedways: Min 70 Max 75 Here is an example driver stat set. Agression: Min 80 Max 85 (+20) Consistency: Min 90 Max 100 (+45) (+65) Finishing: Min 70 Max 85 (+10) (+75) Qualifying: Min 80 Max 95 (+30) (+105) Road Course: Min 70 Max 80 (+5) (+110) Short Tracks: Min 95 Max 100 (+50) (+160) Speedways: Min 80 Max 95 (+30) (+190) Super Speedways: Min 70 Max 85 (+10) (+200) You will get 60 points to add to the car stat set. There must be a 10 point difference between the Min and Max numbers. Car Stats Aerodynamics: Min 70 Max 80 Chassis: Min 70 Max 80 Engine: Min 70 Max 80 Here is an example car stat set. Aerodynamics: Min 80 Max 100 (+30) Chassis: Min 75 Max 85 (+10) (+40) Engine: Min 70 Max 100 (+20) (+60) If you need help with the stats feel free to send me a PM and I'll help you out. CHASE FORMAT After 15 "regular season" races, the top 10 drivers, as determined by points accumulated during the season, automatically advance to contend for the Sprint Cup championship. These drivers are joined by two "wild card" qualifiers, specifically the two drivers ranked from 11th through 41st in drivers' points who have the most regular-season race wins. The 12 drivers' championship points are reset to a base of 2,000 per driver. Each of the 10 automatic qualifiers receives a bonus of 3 points for each win during the regular season, while the two wild card qualifiers receive no bonus. Every driver then will receive a bonus for their final position after 15 races. Wild card qualifiers receive no bonus. 1st - 20 bonus points 2nd - 18 bonus points 3rd - 16 bonus points 4th - 14 bonus points 5th - 12 bonus points 6th - 10 bonus points 7th - 8 bonus points 8th - 6 bonus points 9th - 4 bonus points 10th - 2 bonus points Normal scoring applies during the Chase, with race winners earning 43 base points plus 3 bonus points, all drivers who lead a lap earning 1 bonus point, and the driver who leads the most laps earning 1 bonus point in addition to any other points earned. SCORING SYSTEM In addition to the points allocated: * Any driver who leads a lap during a race receives one bonus point. * The driver who leads the most laps receives an additional one bonus point. * The race winner receives three bonus points. DoubleTap Racing Announces Sterling Silvers to Join Team This Season
Rumors and wild speculation have been flying around DoubleTap Racing headquarters this entire off-season. Most reports have had something to do with one of two topics; the wild an inappropriate behavior of championship driver Trick Dickle, and the possibility of the team expanding to two drivers. While DoubleTap refuses to comment upon the former, they did make an announcement earlier today concerning the latter. They have confirmed that Sterling Silvers and the #37 Long John Silvers Dodge will be a part of DoubleTap Racing this coming season and for the foreseeable future. When asked about the team expanding to a two-car setup, Dickle had this to say: "I'm tickled pink to have a quality driver like Sterling [Silvers] joining the team. Sterling and I go way back, and it's good to know that we'll have each others' back when the Snow brothers or anyone else comes looking for trouble." Sterling Silvers had this to say; "I'm happy someone would even let me onto a team! After that first season, I didn't think anyone would have us. If we could just add the Idaho Potato car, we'd have one hell of a fish and chips platter! Seriously, tho, it's great to be racing with Trick. We've known each other a long time, trust him immensely, and he's one hell of a driver. I'm honored that he'd let us join DoubleTap. I've been repeatedly assured by his sponsors that I am not here just to be his chaperone and designated driver."

Right after Labor Day we will get this thing back up and running. Summer is a crazy time for me, I run a campground and I end up not having a lot of extra time. After Labor Day things will die down and we will get started with Season 3.
