Thumbs up From FrogMan's pond, it's week 4 in Hattrick world!!!

Hey everyone, welcome to yet another week of Hattrick showdowns.

I'm FrogMan and this thread is where you are invited to post about your weekly games...

I'll start with mine. Yep, you've guessed right, the Pittbulls play yet another bot teams, in their quest to surge out of div V in Canada. The Winnipeg Nordiques are the only team that didn't lose all of its games against the Pittbulls predecessor, a team called Fiery Men. They succeded in getting a 0-0 tie in week 4 of season 18 versus the Fiery Men.

I'm playing my A team today, telling them to play it cool in hope to boost the team spirit in preparation to the upcoming FOFC cup. He, He, He...

I'll tell you more as the first updates show up on the teleprompter...

first updates just got in...

The match is in progress, 19 minutes of the first half have been played.
11562 spectators had come to Pintendre Pittbulls Arena this cloudy day. Pintendre tactics involved an interesting 4-5-1 combination. They fielded: Slesser - Hellsjö, Silfwerling, de Carvalho, Ball - Peltola, Rasmussen, Rossten, Mårtensson, Lyles - Kolokotronis.

Nordiques had chosen a strategic 4-4-2 formation. The following players had been chosen: Kilgallon - Crutchley, Weinfeld, McIntosh, Bale - Stephenson, Loughran, Cantin, Michel - García, MacAuliffe.

Not much other action so far. My team ID is 108238, for all of you Criollo users...

In other games in Canada
bbors (29830) are up 1-0 after 21
Les Joujoux (72681) are tied 1-1 after 22
Goldfish (72717) are up 1-0 after 22
Falmouth United (108006) are up 1-0 after 23

FrogMan
PS, this was supposed to be posted about then minutes ago, but the board crapped on me... more to come

okay, the board seem faster now. Was it just me or did everyone experience the slowness??

anyway, still no score in Pintendre, only one wide shot...

After a fine move down the middle Anders Mårtensson nearly gave the home side one up in the 32nd minute. The finishing shot went just wide, though.

okay, first goal scored. I feel better now. I expect to win the possession game by a landslide, but was worried my 4-5-1 would have trouble scoring...

Pintendre's Vincent Lyles scored 1 - 0 by shooting accurately and hard from a long distance, leaving the opponent goalie no other option than to pick up the ball from the net.

other games scores coming in a few minutes

yes, it is. after that tiny division at the top, called All-Canadian, we also have a few All-bot divisions...

It kinda sucks, but I view it as an almost certain ticket to go back to div IV. It makes my game planning and player buying decision a btit different than most other teams...

elsewhere in Canada, at halftime:

bbors (29830) are tied 1-1 (they won possession 52%)
Les Joujoux (72681) are up 3-1 (they won possession with 67%)
Goldfish (72717) are up 2-1 (they lost possession with 47%)
Falmouth United (108006) are tied 1-1 (they lost possession with 42%)

For my Pittbulls, we are still ahead 1-0 winning the possession battle with an impressive 86% in the first half.

Greenlight Superior FC has a fun one tonight. Got the current series leaders at my place, 3 points down of them. We're fifth, and only 3 points separate the top 5 at this early point. series VI.913

Here we are, live at the Bladium in Toledo less than half an hour away from the V.62 co-leading Hippos fourth fixture of the season. They will be taking on unpredictable middie Wade Rees and the 4th place Toledo Blades, last seasons Div IV relegees.

The Hippos have a new toy at wingback in Marcel Romo and due to form troubles, Dafoe Chang will be playing in place of Juan Miguel Tizon at forward. These moves shouldn't be a problem but a rockin' Bladium and playing a team that will likely be in the top three in the league when the season is over could be problems. They tend to run a 4-5-1 or 5-4-1 so hopefully the move at forward will not affect the Hippo assault any.

Anyways, back to everyone at FrogMan's Pond.

Getting ready for the showdown in V.230 tonight, at home against Ft.Worth United, both of us with 9 points so far. I slipped from PoE to delirous last night, but otherwise everything points to a convincing victory for the home side.

In other news, I'm still kicking myself for not going all out in my last cup match. Live and learn I guess, I won't make the same mistake next year. Congrats again to those of you that advanced another round in the cup.

Today I face off against the only other undefeated, untied team in my series. We took over out reams at the same time towards the end of last season, and neither of us has lost a match. I decided to PIC today to help out with my cup match. I think I can still win my series, even if I lose today at his place.

I'm pretty with the final score, a 2-0 win with 86 and 94% possession. On top of that, we end up whit those game ratings

Pintendre Pittbulls
Player rating and Team formation
Midfield: weak
Right Side Defence: passable
Central Defence: solid
Left Side Defence: solid
Right Side Attack: inadequate
Central Attack: weak
Left Side Attack: poor
NSI: 44

And that's all while playing it cool...

Ffinal scores in Canada:

Bbors tied 1-1
Pintendre Pittbulls won 2-0
Goldfish lost 6-2
Les Joujoux won 6-1
Falmouth United lost 5-1

USA games about to begin. Good luck to our FOFC friends South of the border!!!

Is it wrong that I get jealous seeing how everyone here is doing so much better than I am regardless of when they received their team? I got smoked in the cup at home, and now I'm playing the best team in my series on the road. I lost a ton of supporter happiness etc. and if I lose this game here I can count on no more than 13 points all season

With that whining done, good luck everyone!

Biggest game of the season for the Hamas Mad Bombers. We are MOTSing against what will likely be our top competition in the series, the Chicks For Kicks.

Match ID is 5549379 if anyone is interested.

Good news before the game even starts...we have our new starting keeper. Got a passable 18 year-old for 113K, who I expect to be around for a while.

Hey, if anyone is interested, there's an aim chat started by a div iii guy named spartak with the name "hattrick"- I'm "sterlingice". Lots of points for originality here.

Anyways, it's just about gametime. Any games that should be hotly contested and make-or-break that I could watch on Criollo, post your team numbers.

Dude, don't worry. This is what, your third league game and I see you posted a rating of 46 last week. That's awesome. This week was my team's 8th league game and we posted a 44 playing PIC, maybe a 46, or 47 on normal. But before that, my best on normal was 42...

Maybe you won't beat everybody this season, but it'll come. In my short time playing this game, I've learned that you have to plan for the future...

That being said, go enjoy your game now

Already down 1-0, damnit despite MOTS'ing. Looks like I'll be facing potential relegation by season's end.

I'm in a hard series, and I don't want to drop to Div 6 because of bad luck. I'm shocked that the guy running the team before me survived against this level of competition putting up low to mid 30's.

crap. 10 minutes in, and i'm winning, but one of my Mids is out:

One of many good passes from Lorenzo Walker at the wing was recieved and skillfully taken care of by Charles Diaz, scoring for United to 1 - 0. As Mike Mcmillan had, completely unprovoked, swept the legs out from under an opponent in front of a linesman, the referee gave the United player a red card without batting an eye. After an industrious effort down the middle Samuel Marshall could have closed the game off in the 10:th minute, but his finishing shot hit the post.

The Complex Spikes (72176) open their new 16,000 seat arena today to face a very weak Black Hole. Unfortunately, due to the disaster in our last (and final) cup match and a rainstorm only 5364 fans showed up. This is by far the lowest home crowd ever for the Spikes.

Even though we are PIC, the Spikes were up 2-0 in the 9th minute.

In the 11th minute the visitors broke through on the right after some poor defending and Jamie Duckworth put the ball away for 0 - 1.

Woot again!

The visitors Fred Dunbar took advantage of an error due to a misunderstanding between the home side´s goalie and full backs in the 14:th minute. 0 - 2 for McGees

My coach decided to pull back now, I don't know if that's the wisest thing to do.

Sceptre took the lead in the games 16:th minute with 0 - 1 after some elegant plays down the middle. Carsten Henckel was the scorer.

Could this be three straight for the Wyckyd Sceptre?
