Response to mid-season hiatus

Community is absent from NBC's 2011–2012 mid-season schedule, being replaced with the returning series 30 Rock.^[5] Fans of the series began a campaign to get the show back on the air using Twitter, Tumblr, and Facebook, making hashtags such as #SaveCommunity, #SixSeasonsAndAMovie, and #OccupyNBC trending topics.^[44] NBC responded to the backlash by announcing that the network is still planning to film and air the remaining 22 planned episodes after the undetermined hiatus, and the fate of the series will be determined after the planned episodes air.^[5]
On December 7, 2011, CollegeHumor released a video titled "Save Greendale (with the cast of Community)" using the cast of Community in-character to promote the series and the school in a PSA styled video.^[45] On December 22, 2011, fans of the series created a flash mob outside of NBC's Rockefeller Center headquarters in New York City to Occupy NBC. The flash mob dressed in Christmas gear, wearing "darkest timeline" goatees, and singing "O' Christmas Troy" from the first season's episode "Comparative Religion" and chanting "Go Greendale, Go Greendale, Go!".^[46] On January 6, 2012, NBC Entertainment Chairman Robert Greenblatt announced that Community was not canceled, though he did not mention a return date.^[47]

Just watched Celebrity Pharmacology. So far the funniest episode of season 2 I've seen.

At least I was laughing more than the others. Advanced Dungeons and Dragons was darn good. Not what I expected it to be like. I figured they'd go the "Gamers" route of having them acting out the adventuure too. BUt PIerce as the villain awesome.

The hiatus is no more. Dan Harmon tweeted that “Community” is set to return to its old time slot, Thursdays at 8:00, effective March 15 (that’s in 3 weeks).

We will at the end of the season. Apparently they don't have enough eps for a full season, so theyre taking 4 weeks off, then finishing the season at the end of the 2 hour block started by Community. So we will have them both, just not til April 19th.

I just watched the modern warfare and goodfellas episodes.

I think that goodfellas one with the chicken fingers was the first parody ep they did actually.

NOW that I've watched season 1, a LOT of season 2 makes MUCH more sense!

I watched all the season 2 episodes. It's confusing as they mentioned several actual episodes. And they showed clips throughout. I assumed they were all from season one. Then when I watched all of season 1 and forgot about the clip show.

The funny thing is, he only says "Six seasons and a movie" once and he does so running out of the room so I wasn't totally sure what he said nor what he was talking about. But the Community fans have somehow picked that phrase as a kind of catch phrase as if it were used all the time.

That's why I figured there HAD to be an episode completely about that line/show.

It is funny that in the 3 clips, it's premiering, then he's talking about how long he thinks it will last, then jeff consoling him about maybe it being picked up on a cable channel hehe. Definitely being self-referential there.
