Quad City sends: SP Gustavo Betancourt, '72 2nd round draft pick

Rio Grande sends: SP Jose 'Chunky' Medina

Sorry Chunky, we are trading you away just in time for you to get your 100th win with someone else. Some of the fans may throw stuff at me for this. Although oddly enough, Chunky is down to 'Unknown' for popularity. Kind of crappy for the guy who led use to a FOOL Classic championship. Maybe we will see him another day though, when we are not so stubborn to try keeping him in the top half of the rotation where he doesn't really belong any more.

We're aiming for depth, obviously, trying not to leave things to change this season, as we hope to be a strong contender for a title. Betancourt is a heck of a young hurler and has far exceeded my expectations, so it'll be hard to let him go, but...if Medina is gonna bring Chunky back, he needs to do it this year and we're gonna see if we can't help that.
