On this subject I do not wish to think, or speak, or write, with moderation. No! no! Tell a man whose house is on fire, to give a moderate alarm; tell him to moderately rescue his wife from the hands of the ravisher; tell the mother to gradually extricate her babe from the fire into which it has fallen; but urge me not to use moderation in a cause like the present. I am in earnest--I will not equivocate--I will not excuse--I will not retreat a single inch-- AND I WILL BE HEARD!!!

Quad City trades:

1B Jesse Ray
LF Ramiro Vargas
RF Antonio Morales
SP Juan Nunez

to Toronto for:

CL Denny Hennessey (AAA)
SS Julio Pinto
RF Gustavo Sanchez

Quad City

CL-Denny Hennessey- Denny never played for either Toronto or Quad City and if we all knew then what we knew now, this trade would have never happened. Denny is our all time saves leader, and still holds the record for the most all star games.

SS Julio Pinto- Pinto never played for Quad City and was dealt to Texas the following year. In Texas Pinto didnt do much and was around a 220 hitter.

RF Gustavo Sanchez- Sanchez was dealt before he could play a game in Quad City. He went on to have a good career with 5 other teams after being dealt from QC.

Toronto

Jesse Ray- Ray most known for his trade to Chicago in the first place never really established himself as a force for Toronto like he was for Chicago/QC.
He only spent 2 years with Toronto before his contract ran out and he never played in the bigs again. he hit around 252 with 21 homers, 75 RBI'S with a SLG% in the mid 400's. His total VORP was 3.1

LF Ramiro Vargas- Vargas played very little in his one season in Toronto. He hit .196 with no homers and 2 RBI'S. His Vorp was -6.3

RF Antonio Morales- Morales spent the year in AAA ball before toronto let his contract run out. He got picked up by Baltimore and spent the next 5 years there (4 starting) before hanging it up.

SP Juan Nunez- Juan never played in for Toronto.

Evaluation- Honestly this trade sucked to review cause DC traded his guys as soon as he got them

Id call it a win for him knowing what he got in those deals, however I cant review trades like that. Ray was the only one that did anything in this deal and his stats arent mind blowing so im just gonna call this one an even trade to try to be fair.
