Well I haven't had any opportunity to download the file yet as I am in Canada without internet access right now (am on my blackberry). I'm pretty suprised how well we did though as I figured my team could compete, but the schedule that I had was going to be hellish I thought. It sounds like my super-rookie pitcher made good though and hopefully will bring a second Rookie of the year to Valdosta.

DC, I'll be driving back from Canada tonight and should be home by about 8 or 9pm ET if I run a little late can you hold the sim up until I get home to export?

Thanks!

I will indeed hold up the sim until you get back. I mean, you're in the title series.

Cool. I guess you are sticking to the 9pm time. Not a huge deal for me I guess, just trying to extend a couple guys. Rivera not wanting to extend is still a little upsetting though. He must not think we can have a second successful year in '68.

Yeah, I haven't gone earlier in a long, long time. Back when we had just a few of us. I always go on time or late with this large crew.

Here are the tentative salary situation for teams prior to the end of the FOOL Classic. Proposed Arbitration numbers are listed here, as well. If you recall, part of the whole 25-man roster standardization across the minors, including lowering free agency for minor leaguers from 5 years to 4 years and making arbitration for 3rd year players.

CAP ROOM
Ann Arbor: $10.2 million
Baltimore: $38 million
Boston: $37.1 million
Brooklyn: $15.9 million
Charleston: $54.7 million
Chicago: $14.4 million
Colorado: $28.7 million
Compton: $11.7 million
El Paso: $34.3 million
Hartford: $5.7 million
LBI: $42.6 million
New York: $15.1 million
Rio Grande: $21 million
Seattle: $11.7 million
Texas: $16.9 million
Valdosta: $5.8 million

Obviously, teams can resign/release players to low their number. But this the first look at the numbers.

Hey DC, quick question on this...

The stuff in game is accurate for the changes as far as who will be free agents? As in if I have everyone locked up on my potential free agent page, you aren't going to change anything now that will suddenly throw a bunch of people up there?

At least I had assumed the changes you made was done at the start of the season, just guess I need to know if something magically is going to change in between now and the next sim as far as that goes.

Thanks!

No, I didn't change anything. If everyone is locked up, then it should be fine. I haven't changed anything or will do anything to do anything that should cause you any grief in that area.

Funny that the 25yo closer my team drafted in the third or fourth round retired after the season. Jerk.

GAME 7
Ann Arbor 7, Valdosta 4 (@ Ann Arbor)
Ann Arbor wins its first-ever FOOL Classic. Despite a rough outing by Pancho Duran, giving up four earned and seven hits in four innings, a four-run 5th inning and sturdy pitching from Chris Burris (2 hits, 4 ks in 4 innings) and Rudko Perisic's 3rd post-season save gave the Wolverines the title over the Peanuts.

Again, I really have to say that I'm extremely impressed with Ann Arbor's ascent to the top. They didn't go out and sign millions of players like a lot of us did other than Prado and a lot of rookies, they've just built from inside their franchise and their kids came of age. It's a heck of a story and one worth noting that I'm extremely impressed with. A great GM job by allpro.

Congrats, Ann Arbor. You had a wonderful season, and it's terrific fun to win the Classic. You had a great run this year and were dominant in many ways.

I say that with this warning: next year, I am on your schedule.
