Rule #1. You don't post news like this on a football weekend.

hey guys, just checking in real quick, we are alright. I'm located on the other side of the island, but still the main island that was hit (the big island). It was shaking pretty bad this morning, scary stuff. most of the damage is in kona, and its pretty bad. There has been 3 main earthquakes so far today. A 6.5,5.8 and a 4.6. minor aftershocks have been coming all day though. Not sure how taz is, but he is on Oahu so as far as I know there wasn't too much damage their, but I heard that 95% of the power is out, so he probably can't get online. My internet has been in and out all day, same with the phonelines.

Pretty crazy way to be woken up at 7 am after a loooooong nite of drinking.

So how long did it take you to realize your lack of balance had nothing to do with the alcohol?

Glad to hear you are all right.

lmao, yea I honestly did think at first that I was just really drunk still. Then I was like hell no after I saw my lamp about to fall over and then proceeded to grab my fiance and run like hell out of the room.

No football and no internet make Taz go something something.

Wake up at 7 to watch the Cowboys/Texans, 8 minutes later I feel the first earthquake. Ten minutes after that the power goes out and doesn't come back on until a little under a hour ago.

From what I have heard, not much damage here besides pictures/lamps falling and no major injuries.

Two of my wife's aunts happened to be vacationing in Hawaii for the past week or so. Those Memphis girls got quite a shock, but they're OK. They're not sure if they'll be able to get their scheduled flight out of there today, but at least they're fine.

My parents are going on vacation to Hawaii (Maui) tomorrow, but they've heard that things are supposed to be fine there. Of course, my parents scheduled (before a hurricane hit) a trip to Puerto Vallarta a few years ago, and ended up going shortly after Hurricane Kenna damaged the area. I'll have to warn people before their next vacation.
