FOF 2004 - Historical Replay

Started in 1970, I am through the 1999 season. Check out the Players of the Year, pretty reasonable until we get to 96-99.

If anyone else is curious about all-time leaders, certain team or player history, let me know and I'll fill 'em in.

Dola, I can picture it now. Seattle Sehawks Head Coach and GM Joe Gibbs announced today that they would be drafting Tommy Maddox as the heir apparent to Joe Montana.

Here's mine 1970-2005, it is a little better. Maddox still sneaks in in 2001, but Marshall Faulk and Fred Taylor both make strong back to back years to help the RB cause.

Dola-

OK, I lied. Here's my MVPs...

Not too bad, except for Shuler, Dilweg, and Klingler sneaking in there...

From 1970 to 2005 in mine, only 2 RBs won Player of the Year. Ron Lamb in 1970 & 1971 and Marshall Faulk in 1998.

Through 2027, no more RBs have won it, but 2 WRs did. Marvin Harrison in 2006 and Gerald Adams in 2018.

Nothing but love sach.

Through 2001, the Cowboys have accumulated a 258-252-2 record, good for a .505 winning percentage. Having been to the playoffs 10 times in 31 years, they have never even made it to the Superbowl.

5 players have been inducted to the HoF as Cowboys:

1986- FB Robert Holmes, '70-81, Cowboy from 1970-78; first FB inducted
1988- RCB Lee Harden, '70-83, Cowboy from 1970-75; 556 career tackles, 22 int
1989- LCB Al Matthews, '70-84, Cowboy '75-81, '84; 641 tackles, 45 int
1989- QB Marty Domres, '70-84, Cowboy '70-83; 41,721 yards, 278 td, 85.8 qbrating
2001- WR Irving Fryar, '84-96, Cowboy entire career, 976 catches, 13,810 yards, 75 td

Damn you Shorty! I was doing just fine in my current career, now I'm going to have to dig into a historical career.

How do the team additions, name changes work? I assume you have to move them, change names, etc.. by hand?

Spooky Jeebs, we both had Jim Kelly winning it as a Cowboy in 1991 and Marshall Faulk winning back to backs as a Cowboy.

I mean you start with all 32 teams. You take the 1970 file to start with, and you can either use a default NFL city file (frfoot.fcy) which would have the Titans in Tennessee, the Colts in Indianapolis and the Rams in StL, or you can use the HFL's frfoot.fcy, where you have 2 teams in Baltimore, the Rams in LA, the Cards in StL, 2 teams in Houston, etc.

You don't have to add or move teams manually tho.

Or you could take the GEFL starting file, where you have the Rams in LA, the Colts in Baltimore, etc, but instead of the Jags, Panthers, Ravens, Texans, you have 4 teams from the then-USFL (Memphis Showboats, Birmingham Stallions, Oklahoma Outlaws, Jacksonville Bulls)
