So...will gamenikki be getting a review copy of Maximum Football and if so, have you picked a reviewer yet?

You laugh, Bee, but we do have contacts with Matrix, and they sent me an email not too long ago regarding Maximum Football.

Could we get one? Sure. Just doesn't seem like it's worth submitting the request until the review build is actually ready for download.

That, and I feel bad for Joe Lieberman. He's been nothing but classy with us. I haven't decided yet whether we're going to get involved in this train wreck, but there's certainly nothing stopping us from doing so.

I think you owe it to your public to review the game (and yes I want to see a review from someone that I actually trust).

I think you should review it..

But you definately need to remain neutral until you get a copy.

Do you have any idea how hard it's going to be to remain neutral for another decade?

I'd like to put forth the suggestion that jbmagic write the review with no editing. That way everything remains neutral...

I would nominate BaboonHeart as guest reviewer.

Maybe instead of CGW's Tom vs Bruce...we could have jbmagic vs BaboonHeart?

Or you could expand it to a round table format with Groundcat moderating.

Why? I think the game is gonna bomb. That's based on many years of gaming and the issues with a five year release. Yet I don't have a problem at all writing a review for the game.

With games that are terrific and you know they are terrific, you will sometimes try to nitpick.

With games that look like they are going to bomb, you start looking for positives.

I'd love to give the game a 10. And I can promise you if the game deserves a 10/10 that's exactly what it'll get. I can also assure you that if it deserves a 2, that's what I'd give it.

I can't possibly not review this game now. As I said in the other thread, it's a win/win.

But my point is Sack shouldn't be publicly participating in the hillarity.. I think that is bad form if you're going to do a professional review.

I disagree. If Maximum Football turns out to be a... decent game... I'm sure Sack will grant it a decent score.

In the much more likely event that, assuming it gets released, it is a steaming pile of dog poop... well, at least Sack has a stack of ammunition to fire at the "game".

I have a feeling that many gamenikki writers are going to want a piece of maximum football.
