NCAA Football - Week 2

Great game for Frank Solich last night as Ohio upended Pitt.

Right now, I'm watching Marshall and Kansas State. Marshall just went up 10-0 on a touchdown from Ahmad Bradshaw...Bradshaw went to my small high school, so go Marshall!

Sooners scored on Peterson touchdown on their opening drive. Bomar threw only one pass.

Notre Dame looks so different from last season. I'm very impressed with Weiss. I wonder if he would consider going back to the NFL as a head coach after a few years at ND.

For Sooner fans what are the general feelings of the Sooner nation? Do you guys believe you will win the Big 12 this season?

After last week's game, I believe that they are looking at seven win season. I see them struggling to score points since they will have a freshman playing under center. The defense looked good for the most part last week, but they still need a lot of improvement.

VT up 21-0 with half time approaching. Vick is a tremendous passer, but we've already had four drops by receivers...I guess the fact that it's Duke is causing them not to concentrate.

If you haven't done so already, go put money on Texas over Oklahoma.

I've been real impressed with Imoh the few times I have seen him play, but he doesn't seem to get the ball a whole lot. Does he have baggage of some sort (injury prone, maybe?)?

No...it's just our typical offense. The only time we've ever had a 'showcase' back was with Kevin Jones in 2003. Every other year, we've split carries between the top two guys...Lee Suggs/Jones a few years ago was probably our best rotation...this year it's Cedric Humes & Imoh splitting time.

what an idiotic coaching call - holy shit! They passed the ball with 8 seconds left. They were inside the 25-yard line.

VT scores again as Vick makes a great throw for a 35 yard TD pass early in the 3rd. Also, VT's defense held Duke to just 17 yards in the first half.

Did anyone really think they (Marshall) were gonna do anything besides put the ball in the middle of the hashes? Does their kicker suck that bad? No doubt that I would've broken something if I was a Herd fan. Just a tough game to lose. Especially after the two fumbles inside KSU's 5-yard line.

Do you guys think Marshall moving from the MAC to Conference USA was an upgrade?

A few years ago, it seemed like CUSA was a good step ahead of the MAC, but I'm not so sure anymore.

Watching the ND/UofM game. They keep breaking in to show Va Tech/Duke highlights and pimping Marcus Vick. First, he's not his brother. Second, he's playing Duke.

VT is better than both UM and ND. The highlights allow viewers to see a real football team.

I don't know the financial ramifications of the move, but i still think C-USA is a better league than the MAC. The bad part about the move is the travel costs Marshall is going to have to pay not just for football.

I missed the end of that game- what happened that allowed the Purple Power Pussies to escape?

This Clemson/Maryland game is actually a pretty good game. And I thought I'd be doomed to see blowouts with all the other games on (in the Atlanta area).

Now, TCU's not a bad football team. A loss to them definitely hurts. But Tulsa is the equivalent of a Baylor in talent. The fact that this isn't a blowout makes it a little difficult to have faith, especially when it has yet to be established that the team can play.

Just my $.02

Final: VT 45 - Duke 0

Vick's passing was very impressive and the defense allowed just 35 yards on the day. Good game for the Hokies.
