FOF: what happens if your QB dont know the formation?

FOF: what happens if your QB dont know the formation?

will it ignore the % you have for that formation in the gameplan?

Yes. Your team won't run it.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't the game tell you that ON THE FORMATION USAGE SCREEN?!?!?!?

The Formation Usage Screen gives you control over how often your team uses each formation under the specified conditions.

This chart is triggered by the running percentage you assigned to the current situation on the game plan. For example, if it's third and 1 and your game plan indicates you will run 96 percent of the time in that situation, then the formation choice will be determined by the extreme run situation formations screen.

To use this screen, enter values for each formation. The game will automatically adjust these values to add up to 100 percent when you exit the screen, so don't worry about doing the math yourself.

During games, if your quarterback is not capable of running a formation, the percentage you entered for that formation will be ignored during play selection.

thanks

then the recommend button is not very smart. why would it try to put a % for a formation your QB don't know.

you would think they will spread the % to the formations the QB knows.

Your backup might know it. Anyway, I think that recommendation isn't based on your team at all -- it just is what it is. I could be wrong, though.

Personally, I think that the offensive recommendation button is broken or something, and doesn't show any team specific trends. However, on the defensive playcalling screens, it does seem to adjust to the strength of your team and the opposition. I still don't usually use it, but I think it does work for defense.

Actually, I think it is set up to reflect the real NFL. Offensive game plans irl don't vary nearly as much as most people here probably think--especially the tendency to run on first down.

Yeah, the recommend on this function does not match up to your QB. Sorry, but you have to do the work yourself on this one.

No kidding. As a guy who prints off the documentation and reads it at least two or three times before beginning a serious career, this kind of thing is really annoying.

My way is the only right way. If the rest of you people would realize that, the world would be a MUCH better place.
