PC programs running in the background
When you press ctrl-alt-del, a list of processes appears that is quite lengthy. I can't imagine that all these processes are required. Does anyone know a way to 1) figure out what is necessary and 2) keep them from starting up automatically?

Here's a good one to check the stuff that runs on startup. http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php |

Haha. Now that's another issue entirely... BTW, no problem whatsoever. I found those some time ago, and I know they've been brought up on here before. They're great sites to have bookmarked and can help you identify some trojans and stuff as well if you have an issue. |
