Just wanted to let everyone know that programming work has begun on Space Empires V. We're shooting for a summer 2005 release of Space Empires V. We've got big plans for this next version including real-time 3D rendered graphics, a redesigned user interface, infinite technologies, Galactic News, Warp Point assault weapons, Space Monsters, built in support for mod selection, a true scripting language, and more! In the coming months we'll be putting up a Space Empires V page showing off the latest screenshots and design issues. And as always, we'd love to hear any suggestions you have for the game. Hmm... seems the web page dictates a Winter '06 release date, but in the Q&A for the game, they're aiming for a June '06 release date. Man, I hope it's the latter...
