I've also heard that Pacific Poker has a pretty good assortment of fish ... rivaling even Party. FWIW.

The 250 required raked hands, includes only those in which you saw the flop.... I know that's different from some of the other online establishments.....

ranks very high on the unintentional comedy scale. that video was ridiculous.

BTW, thanks for the heads up Easy Mac.

I've heard nothing but good about the site previously, and this was just the push I needed to sign up.

That sequence of Helmuth slowly placing one bare foot in front of the other on that stone walkway was one of the hilarious reasons I couldn't help myself from watching ESPN's eighty thousand replays of last year's WSOP. Great stuff

Almost worth it just for having Shana Hiatt on the DVD.

I will say that I did bite on this deal.... and for the first hour of playing Pacific.... I love it..... there doesn't seem to be a table with lower than a 70 post-flop %.....

I joined for a normal opening deposit bonus and it appears to have just deposited it into my account. Where would I find if it's 'bonus' dollars or what I have to do to earn the bonus?

other than counting manually, no. The site the promo was going through said they would email you within 72 hours of completing the raked hand requirement though.

RE: my post about just trying to cash out my bonus b/c it just became part of my bankroll.

I got an e-mail from pacific poker named "Risk Management" saying that I'd lose the bonus if I didn't reverse my cashout. I responded with an e-mail saying that i was confused b/c they put the bonus direcgtly into my account.

I also asked if there was a way to track how close I was to the bonus.

I'll see what the reply is, until then, see you on pacific poker! :P (at least the games do look soft, but my first impression of their site is not a good one, they're going to have to be amazingly soft for me to stay there past the bonus).

Can anyone tell me, or direct me to where I could find, what promotions are going on at other sites? I've played some on Paradise and PokerStars before and would like to get back to it, but if there's a good bonus to be had, it would be nice.

It's a pretty solid overview of everything out there.

"All Bonuses may be Cashed Out only after an amount totaling no less than twenty (20) times the Bonus amount received has been wagered (e.g., a $100 dollar Bonus must be wagered in a total amount equaling no less than $2,000). "

Can the "bonus points" I've accumulated/comp points correlate with how much I've wagered so far? I have 64 comp points!

I believe you get one bonus point per $10 wagered

Ok so 200 points to work off a $100 bonus, I can dig it. Very fishy site but not worth the hassle and limited interface IMO. Only one table open at a time, can't go into cashier while a table is open, hand histories seem to be non-existant. Really an unenjoyable playing experience even when raking in the chips.

Pacific Poker has the potential to be a good site. Unfortunately, their lack of e-mailed hand histories, poor software, low # of hands per hour, and collusion problems have prevented me from opening an account there.

For me, the lack of hand histories is a complete deal-breaker. I'll play it until I hit my requirement, but then I am sooooo out of there.

The fact that I also can't appear to change my password is pretty annoying.

I earned my 200th point last night, which I believe indicates that i should have finished off my bonus(remember i just did the normal buyin bonus and didn't get the WPT DVD). I immediately sent an e-mail to support@pacificpoker.com asking for them to verify that I had completed the requirements for my bonus.

Can't wait to see how long it will take for them to respond.

I finished at Pacific showing a very nice profit, but holy crap it is just not worth it. Back to Party for me.

My account at PokerSource just went from "pending" to "confirmed", which according to their fourm, means the DVD's are ready to ship...... pretty cool if it works out....

I also got a reply from pacific saying I'd completed my bonus, and immediately cashed out.

Amazing all the complaints from all of us despite the fact that we all seem to be winning. It has to be a *horrid* site to be full of fish yet still unplayable.

Their 15/30 game is very soft, but there have been several reports of collusion.
