I'm shocked he went on with his show last night so soon after their death. Considering he is a comedian, you'd think he wouldn't want to perform. But he dedicated his show to his parents which was nice.

My wife told me this last night, its sad of course. I can't help wondering what they were like. With someone as "odd" as Weird Al i am always curious if the parents were completely normal or had some of thier own little "odd" quirks

Every indication was that these were completely "normal" people. They just had a really good sense of humor, and they didn't stand in the way of their son having fun instead of putting his architecture degree to use. Like any good parents would, they showed that they just really wanted their son to be happy.

Of course, I never knew the people or anything, but judging from Weird Al's comments about them and the TV specials I've seen, I think that the above is pretty accurate.

No, Frankie Yankovic was not related. Common misunderstanding.

I hereby nominate Maple Leafs for Non-trout Post of the Year. Do I have a second?

Thanks for the link. I tried going there last night to see if he had written anything, but couldn't connect to the site.

Rock on Al.
