FBCB: Walk-ons?

So far I've just had my two walk-ons assigned to me as my other ones graduate. Is it possibly to get lower ranking recruits to walk-on to your school instead of the game randomly assigning them?

If so do I have to have a current walk-on that is graduating or can I recruit one and then cut a current walk-on?

I think walk-ons only are added to fill up your roster.

I was also wondering about recruiting walk-ons...I'd say a negatory on this, but I'd like an official answer

Basically, the walkons are all recruits who didn't end up getting a scholarship offer. The best ones will generally end up at the best school that has a need at their position. Every now and then I'll get a player who is worthy of serious playing time out of it. One time I had a guy who ended up All-Conference in the Pac 10.
