Aren't there any more original ideas?

I just saw a commercial for Sprite that featured Lebron James. Co-starring with 'Bron in the commercial was a little action figure named Miles Thirst. Lebron showed the figure around his house and interacted with him, blah blah blah.

When I saw this, I first thought that Lil' Penny had been brought back to life! Sure, that ad campaign may have been ten years ago, but come on. This is a blatant rip off, and for some reason it really pisses me off...

Click here if you want to watch the crappy commercials.

At least lil' penny was voiced by Chris Rock.

has anyone seen the Nike ad where all these currently famous athletes are shown as starts in other sports? For example, Vick playing Hockey, Lance Armstrong as lightweight boxer, Andre Agassi drving in a run for the Red Sox, etc...

I just caught it for the first time, and thought it was pretty solid.

Celebraty Spelling Bee....no, there are no more original ideas. That pretty much proves that there isn't.

Let's just hope LeBron's career doesn't flame-out like 'The-Nickel's'

Kind of like the Bo Jackson campaign a dozen years ago?

Not so much. That was a bit more of a joke and a one-man campaign. This is a tad more artfully done, with a range of athletes.

Not a sports commercial, but anyone catch the preview for basically a remake of Big, with Jennifer Garner?

No, but it really pissed me off that that movie that came out a few months ago, Love Don't Cost a Thing is basically a remake of that 1987 Patrick Dempsey classic, Can't Buy Me Love. The only difference between the movies is that the newer version has a black cast and substitutes an Escalade for a suede jacket...

Yep. My wife and I are huge "Alias" fans, and we both decided that while it's nice she's branching out (comedy instead of ass-kicking), even the preview tells us that she could have picked a far, far better script to do it with.
