IHOF Update

First, I want to thank you for your confidence in allowing me to assume the role of commissioner for the league. I can promise that I'll do what I can to ensure that there are no snags in getting this thing rolling.

The first step has been to secure web space for the league. I'm in the process of doing that now...hopefully, we'll have the site up in the next 48 hours.

I want to be able to start operations within 7-10 days, so hopefully we'll see the roll call thread fill up with responses from the listed owners. I'd like to see all owners respond with affirmative answers, but considering there have been a couple who have declined, I'll work to fill any open slots before the weekend. If you have any suggestions for someone to invite, please let me know.

Other than verifying the status of owners, I'll spend time looking through past threads to make sure I know the past discussions and decisions that have been made. If there's any issues still up in the air, we'll need to start up talks again, so be sure to check this forum whenever you visit the boards.

Before, when we added Alf, there were a few suggestions, notably Chubby (though I'm not sure anyone contacted him). There are plenty of people who would be more than adequate replacements, and I trust your judgement VPI.

Goo luck VPI. As I said in the Roll Call thread, I suggest we contact 3ric for one of the 2 vacancies.

We're going to be forcing new owners to fit within our current geographical alignment. I don't it's that unreasonable a thing to ask, as it will save us a lot of re-shuffling.

Of the 5 vacancies, we need:
  • One Northeast team. The team could be located anywhere in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, or any of the New England States. (If they choose Penn or NJ, the new team and I will switch to the Mid-Atlantic division, and the Astoria and Brooklyn would move to the Northeast division)
  • Two Mid-Atlantic teams. The new teams can be located anywhere in West Virginia, Virginia, or North Carolina.
  • One team for the "Georgia" division. This team can be located in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, or Florida.
  • One Western team. The team can be as far east as the eastern border of Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, or New Mexico.

Of the 2 definite vacancies, I'd say we need:
  • One Northeast team to replace Bucc. The team could be located anywhere in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, or any of the New England States. (If they choose Penn or NJ, the new team and I will switch to the Mid-Atlantic division, and the Astoria and Brooklyn would move to the Northeast division)
  • One mid-atlantic team to replace Fritz. The new team can be located somewhere in West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, or South Carolina.

Good point. Agreed that the new teams should reasonably fit within the division framework already established.

Nice to see this thing starting.
We're not that far away from our original schedule actually, we're Jan 15th and getting the league started for good when we originally talked (back in December) about starting off around Jan 10th or so...

Great to hear that the Webiste is on its way. Priority #1 now.

Do any of you know if you can have more than one multi-player career going at the same time on the same PC?

This league would be fun, as the league I am currently in is a blast.
Seeing you need a New England area team or southeast team is most interesting.

Absolutely. 3ric posted a quick way to keep it sorted - do a quick search.

I'd also like to put WSUCougar's name out there as a possible replacement for one of our vacant teams.
