Off to the Cotton Bowl

Will this year be the first year in many that I do not walk away from the experience being heckled by the Sooner faithful? Probably not, I have less excitement going into this year than last.

But, man, that walk from the stadium to the car is usually pretty brutal. I feel like sometimes that Mack Brown should have to walk to my car with me to see what it takes to be a UT fan.

By the way, audit over, the longest month of my life. Went well. But I have aged 20 years.

GO LONGHOR............ ahhhh forget it. Maybe I will dress in neutral colors.

Have fun, Senator. You survived the audit, and this will at least be a little more enjoyable than that.

I'm jealous, Senator. I'll be listening to the game on Yahoo! Broadcast, and following via ESPN GameCast. I always had a blast when I went in person, maybe that's because the 'Horns won everytime I went. Here's to hoping that Vince Young is the next Peter Gardere...

dola...

I mean, I hope that Vince Young is like Peter Gardere only in the fact he beat Oklahoma four straight times. Other than that, he pretty much sucked.

Beat the Sooners so that they have to go back to Oklahoma tonight and stop at my OG for dinner on the way home. We've been way too slow lately...

JeeberD,

Are you sure you want a bunch of pissed off Sooners dining at your establishment? This ain't a bunch of UNT fans drowning their sorrows in all-you-can-eat breadsticks and salad. These are people you want stopping at the Waffle House across the highway.

If I could go back to the old board and cut and paste my comments from last year, they would be the same. I think I wrote, "outcoached pure and simple."

The song remains the same. Sigh.

No, I am over a sector of Homeland Security at the moment, and my entire sector was audited top to bottom. It was like having a nagging girlfriend 12 hours a day questioning everything you do and have ever done. By the last day, I was to the point where I would have confessed to the Kennedy assassination just to get them to leave.

Not to that level. But I do work in Public Accounting with a focus on Audit. Its a tough job. We're just trying to bring home a paycheck just like everyone else.

I wish they would apply the same rigor to other departments instead one that at least provides benefit to all of us.
