Football Manager Handheld 2012 (iOS/Android) - Price drop

Just in case anyone has been waiting to pick up this years handheld game on a mobile device the iOS & Android versions are now on sale in the relevant stores.

(oh and an update for the Android version has just been released as well - same update will be incoming on iOS in the near future but needs to clear Apple submissions).

I hate to ask the question(s):

When will the next version be out?

If I buy this version, will it be upgradeable to the next one or is it a brand new purchase?

The next one will require a brand new purchase but I think 5+ months of use out of a mobile application for $4.99 isn't bad value really .... I am of course biased in my opinion

Thanks for the info. It would just depend on what types of things got thrown into the new one. If there were just little tweaks here and there, which is what I would expect given how good the game already is, then I wouldn't care. If some nice big new features got added I might be a little disappointed.

That said, you're right at $5 what's the big deal.

I can't remember all the new features which went into 2012 - but it did include challenges for the first time, customisable tactics (drag/drop formations), new media and a host of other things.

The exact 'post release' changes which went into it - I've posted below (as I store those in a 'changelist' in the game so have them to hand).

With regards to next years version - I'm afraid I can't talk about that yet, but obviously I'll make it as compelling as possible

I purchased this. Couple of things that it seems like I should be able to but must be missing something...

1. What does a Red Block by a player's name mean? No position listed, no movement allowed, just a red block?

2. How can I compare two players easily? Is there a way to bring both players up on the same screen or at least be able to select a couple of playes to scroll through?

Ipad version...

The player is inellgibable for some reason - in most cases there will be an icon indicating why (or an excalamation mark to indicate a conflict).

At the moment you have to mentally compare players - I'm considering implementing an in-game comparison system for a future version.

Would strongly encourage #2. It would go a very long way to make such comparisons easier.

How do you get young players? I have done a few seasons and no regens in them?
