HFL Entering 1998
The Historic Football League (HFL) just finished its 1997 season, so it's on to 1998. The Chicago Bears, New York Giants, New Orleans Saints, (maybe) Oakland Raiders, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are available. Oakland may have an owner, we're waiting to hear back from someone.
The HFL web site is here: HFL HOME The HFL runs three sims a week in the regular season. Noobs are welcome, more experienced players, too! If you want to claim a piece of football history, go to the HFL web site (link above) and register. Then PM the commisioner (hfl_commish) and ask for the team you want. Any questions or problems, PM me here at FOFC. The Chicago Bears were 9-7 in 1997. They have all 7 of their 1998 picks, starting at 1.22. The New York Giants were 4-12 in 1997. They have all 7 of their 1998 picks, starting at 1.05. The Giants are in some cap trouble, so an owner would need time and patience to take them on. The New Orleans Saints were 5-11 in 1997. They have a staggering 18 picks in the 1998 draft. Their first round picks are 1.07, 1.30, and 1.32. The Oakland Raiders were 7-9 in 1997. They have 5 picks in 1998, starting at 3.13. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were 1-15 in 1997. They have 7 picks in 1998, starting at 1.01. Tampa Bay is taken.

The 1998 draft class is out. Top QBs are Peyton Manning and Matt Hasselbeck. Others are WR Randy Moss, RB Ahman Green, and CB Charles Woodson.
