Premier League of America 2K10
I've tested this one pretty extensively and it works, as past tries at this didn't generate a second season. This one is good out of the box and doesn't inject the USA with financial steroids.
It's a seven-tier USA setup, with a number of cups and so forth. The thing it does not do, is put the United States in Europe. I've abandoned that, simply because there's no real point when you have the ability to create pretty much any conceivable league you want internationally. Quote:
DOMESTIC CUPS US Cup (64 teams, our FA Cup) Lamar Hunt Pioneer Cup (16-team cup, Tiers 1-4) Continental Cup (16-team cup, Tiers 4-7) Congress Cup (16-team cup, Tiers 5-7) INTERNATIONAL CUPS Ford Champions League of the Americas (16 teams from US, South and Central America) Virgin Super League (16 team global super league) Even if you download it and make your own changes, it's in good enough shape that you won't have to do much beyond rename teams in the lower divisions, since I didn't do that and add ketchup. Should be interesting! Last edited by Dark Cloud : 01-25-2010 at 05:58 PM. |

I made a few changes to the lower division teams, add your own team if you want, but it's ready to go.

Thanks for doing this. I am considering buying the game just to play this setup!
Are there any citizenship requirements? Last edited by Mike1409 : 01-24-2010 at 11:18 AM. |

I'm working on an update right now, that'll have the right teams represented and all that. I just wanted to get this out, but I'm working on the version I'm going to use (dynasty?!) and so, once I'm done with it, I'll upload that and detail what teams are where. Probably today. |

By "right" teams, I mean, "major cities and such should be represented along with some other historical clubs, plus some fictional ones of my own."
Not some sort of accuracy, because I'm not as worried about that. Last edited by Dark Cloud : 01-24-2010 at 12:16 PM. |

Ok, here's the db version of the PLA that I'm going to manage in. The only thing I did was put teams in cities, the lower levels are largely based in Boston and New York because their neighborhood are conducive to soccer naming and because it was easier that way. It's only different than the earlier versions in that the teams are named better and spread out around the US more.
I'll chronicle the teams in each of the leagues for you below: PEPSI PREMIER LEAGUE OF AMERICA Chicago Fire Colorado Rapids D.C. United FC Dallas Houston Dynamo Kansas City Wizards LA Galaxy New England Revlution NY Red Bulls Portland Rose City Timbers Salt Lake City San Jose Seattle Toronto FC AT&T MAJOR LEAGUE OF AMERICA Columbus Crew Detroit Motor City Jacksonville Tea Men Manchester (NH) American Miami FC North Star Green Bay Phoenix of Arizona St. Louis Metropolitan Windsor City VERIZON LEAGUE ONE AMERICA Atlanta Apollos Minnesota Compton Union Fall River Marksmen Long Island Manhattan Chelsea Quad Cities Milwaukee 1846 Bethlehem Steel Toronto City SAFEWAY USA League Two Baltimore Charlotte Cleveland Hartford Whalers Montreal Impact Philadelphia Union Chivas Santa Fe Steel City Pittsburgh Tampa Bay Rowdies Vancouver Whitecaps AMERISTAR CONTINENTAL LEAGUE Calgary Athletic City of Angels Dakota Thundercats Desert Sun Las Vegas Hell's Kitchen Hoosiers Joaquin Valley Lower East Side Portsmouth San Diego South Boston Stuyvesant Town Upper West Side Willamette GREAT AMERICAN PRO LEAGUE Aquarius Spring Division --------- Birmingham American Boulder Colorado Republic Des Moines El Paso y Juarez Golden Gate SF Ironbound Newark Jersey Atlantic Llano Estacado Mutual of Omaha Philadelphia Athletic Aquarius Zero Division -------- Bunker Hill Cumberland Gap Great Alaska Football Club Jamaica Plain London City FC Northern Exposure Renaissance New Orleans Tulsa Roughnecks Wabash Indiana Windy City MYSOCCERCLUBUSA.com TRIPLE-A SOCCER LEAGUE Wyoming 1890 Brooklyn Wanderers Canarsie Colorado Rancheros Coronado Eastchester Fenway Harlem United Hershey Hollywood United Los Angeles Aztecs Mission San Antonio Quebecois San Francisco Gaels The Delta Vermont Republic Last edited by Dark Cloud : 01-25-2010 at 05:58 PM. |

Stadiums are generally close to the home city of the team, yes. There are teams at the lower levels that don't have a home ground, because they came that way. But I think the overwhelming majority are.
Alaska plays at the Exxon Dome, a fictional stadium I created for them. |

DC,
I've been working on various versions of the PLA for a while now and I have to say this latest version is phenomenal. Excellent work my friend.
