Thumbs up New File up! **Please Read**

The long awaited for new FOOL file is up and available. Due to it being an entirely new file, you have to download and extract it outside of the game.

Instructions:

In your Saved_Games folder, create a new folder called FOOL2.lg
(For Windows XP users the path should be C:\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 9\saved_games\ )

Download the new league file from:

http://www.bb-bbcf.net/fool/exports/FOOL2.lg.tar.gz

The file is a nice and small 10 MB in size, so shouldn't take long for anyone to download.

Once downloaded, extract the file's contents to the FOOL2.lg folder that you created earlier. Winzip (or whatever extractor application you use) will likely make you extract the files to a temp directory first due to the way OOTP creates the league archive.

Once you have the file unzipped in the correct location, you should be able to launch OOTP and load saved game FOOL2

Log in as your manager account and please do the following:

1) Set a password on your account (if you wish to have one)
2) Look through your team and try to familiarize yourself with your new players as well as get used to the new ratings.
3) Set up your team for spring training
4) Export before Friday morning 7am ET

Remember that yellow rating players won't necessarily be stars, but they likely will be solid #3,4,5 pitchers, relief pitchers or even starters in your infield/outfield. I would advise not cutting too many players until you get used to who can and can't contribute now.

Our first sim will be Spring Training Friday morning. This should help prepare everyone for the upcoming season.

If you would like for me to verify that your export worked correctly tommorrow or Thursday, please say so and I will be happy to do so. Also if anyone has any questions, state that as well.

Good luck to all on the new season!

Also, take a look at your team logo/color/jersey/cap stuff too. I made some of the jerseys/color schemes myself. (I really like the New York one for some reason).

If any of you would like to make a change to the jersey/cap/logo/whatever feel free to let me know and I will be happy to do so.

Also doublecheck your ballpark to make sure that it is as desired. For those that did not submit a ballpark, it went with a random OOTP generated one.

I can change ballparks up until Friday morning's sim as well.

Finally.. Trades are allowed as well until Friday morning. So if anyone wants to start up things with a trade, you know what to do

Can we get a level market size and loyalty, or are we going with what is in there now?

That was all auto-assigned by OOTP. I'll level it all off for everyone before Spring Training to make it fair. Then it won't be touched again as team's performance will determine if those go up or down.

(Doesn't really matter that much though with our financials, since it only makes a difference of a few hundred K a year in most cases of money above the salary cap. Still it is fun to watch the loyalty go up with a team that is successful for a while)
