She has no car and may need to come or go at late hours (after 8 PM, at least).

Can you recommend some hotels in the area for safe/convenient travel around that area or within reasonable taxi distance from the America's Center? My wife and she are asking for my help. Unfortunately, I know nothing about St. Louis and don't personally know anyone from there.

The dates will be May 26 to June 1 (last minute, I know, but that's what happens for business trips sometimes). Perhaps it's because I'm a long-time lurker, who's been a little bit intimidated by the work of the "regulars" here who are, to put it simply, really, really good at this stuff.

Well, here goes. I like to write, so why not?

I'll be taking the head coaching position at the my alma mater, the University of Virginia.

The Cavaliers will be a fun challenge for several reasons. They're going to start off as a fairly decent team, since the game begins in 2004 and I'm not using Random Team Reputations. The Wahoos were pretty good in the early '00s; they went 9-5, 8-5, and 8-4 between '02 and '04. They will also have an outstanding academic profile, because I'm not using Random Academic Reputations, either.

I'll be trying to make the Cavaliers into a true football power without sacrificing the program's academic standards. I know that's not half as long as FOOL has existed, but I do feel like a veteran. I've gone through a lot personally since joining this league. A lot of stuff (most significantly being a full time single dad) that just takes a ton of time, not leaving me a lot of time for personal hobbies. Basically, it's OOTP online leagues. Even with everything going on, I've stayed a part of FOOL for several reasons.

- How cool a fast-sim league is
- Loyalty. We've seen some dark days. Alan stepping down, the work it took Hyde to keep the leagues going. Conversions. The dissolution of FOOLX. My good friend Lynchy saying he didn't have time anymore.
- Hyde. You're completely awesome. Seriously. Not as a commish, but as a person too. The courage you show every day needs to be praised more often. You don't need to do this stuff. But you do.
- The community. Eddie. Teach. Kevin. Ashby. CHIEF!

Today, I've made a decision that I've been wrestling with for a long time, but finally did. It became a chore for me to export for FOOL tonight. Realizing that at 10pm Eastern, that because it was Tuesday and FA2/Draft tomorrow, I had to export and really didn't feel like it anymore, I can't continue on. This will be my last season in FOOL. I'll export for tonight to fill out my roster and get one more run, the season Wednesday, and hopefully the playoffs Thursday. But my priorities have finally gotten enough in my way to do this and I feel terrible :(

Thanks to everyone on this ride for making my days pass a little better watching the standings come up on my phone at work. Thanks to Hyde for a well-run league, and thanks to EVERYONE else here for 3 years of fantastic gaming.

I noticed the other day as I made a call on the phone the laptop lost connectivity. Not sure if that is related.

Anyone else know of any issues like this?

I have a CB who is a very good returner, but crap as a DB, he is not on the depth chart at all on base, goal line, nickel or dime, only as a returner, but he still gets in the game and gets defensive snaps.
