Okay, it's February, and y'all know what that means. So fess up. What are you planning on getting for your significant other, and what are you planning on doing?
I'll admit I have an ulterior motive. While I am pretty sure I'm doing a nice dinner somewhere and then I'll pick someplace romantic to go with my GF (so need for help on plans), I have next to no clue what I want to get her as a gift. So I am hoping to get some ideas from you guys. ;)

Take her to the movies.

Take her to the movies.
There's a decent chance we'll do that. We both love movies.
That said, I am not concerned about what to do. I am thinking about what to get her.
It doesn't help that her birthday is in March.
Fortunately, once I safely navigate March, I am clear on "occasion gifts" until Christmas. :)

Heh...we actually decided to hunt around for a bargain place to go see MI4. Or see if it was still showing in a big theater somewhere.

Kinky. I'll keep that one in my backpocket.

My wife and I stay in for Valentine's day. It's always a zoo out, especially at restaurants. We usually go out the day before or day after.

Yeah, we're doing that this year, too. We're going out on Feb. 15. We actually both work night jobs in the service industry, so we actually want to work VDay night for the money.

My wife and I both agree Valentines Day is just about the dumbest invention of a holiday there is. I don't need a special day to tell my wife I love her or make her know she is the only lady in my life. If we want to go out to a nice dinner we go, if I want to get her flowers I get them, I don't see why I need an arbitrary day to do the same thing I should be doing the other 364 days a year.

We both realize it's a silly holiday. We vaguely celebrate on the 19th (I think- she has to remind me), which was the day we were engaged. She likes flowers so it's half off Valentines Day flowers, if I remember and no penalty if I don't, and go out to eat a week after all the crazies just because we like going out to eat so it's a win-win.
EDIT: Or what Lathum said

Fixed. 2012 is a leap year, dude. And +1.

I bought an engagement ring two months ago and Book of Mormon tickets last night for her birthday. I'm way, way, wayyyyy off the hook for V-Day. We'll make dinner and stay in.

My wife's birthday is less than a month later, so I usually get her something small and some flowers, and then we'll go to Melting Pot closer to her birthday, when their Valentine's Day pricing has ended.

I was never one to really put much weight behind this day, but, when I was married, it usually consisted of roses and me making dinner. I'm not much help other than that.
I hope you celebrate Steak and Knobber Day (March 20th).

Valentine's Day won't register with me because Tuesdays are 6 am - 8 pm days until May.

Amateurs!
Wife's birthday is 2/11, son's birthday is 2/12, and then Fuck You Hallmark Day right after. February is a rough month for the Java King.

Oh crap... I just had a 1st date last weekend. She wants to get together again. I completely forgot this bullshit holiday is coming.
She seems cool & everything, but I am facing a layoff & was just looking at finances last night & freaking out a bit.
Now I have to tell her that dating probably isn't good for me for right now, when this bullshit holiday is coming on us like a backed up septic tank.

Grab yourself a nice handcrafted brew and a fine cigar. Maybe even grab some hockey tickets.

Wow, your's is worse than mine but I go 14'th V-day, 20'th wife's birthday, and 24'th is son's birthday. And of course all of this is on the heels of our anniverary on 12/17 and Christmas.

Going to be on a cruise with the wife without a care in the world. Our first actual vacation together in the 9 years we have been together.
