Be sure to get exports in tonight if you have anyone you want to offer an extension to. I'm uploading a new file tonight that will sim to the start of FA.

For 1841, since the vote for full v. split season went in favor of full-season..we're going to do a test of the Full-season format.
What that means is we'll still have a mid-season break around the all-star break. But rather than take 1st and 2nd half champs, we're going to just take the top two teams out of each league. If we'd done that last year, Los Angeles and Milwaukee who tied for the NL title would've made the post-season, rather than 3rd place Phoenix.
After we demo it for this season, I'll take another vote and see what people want us to do going forward and whatever that vote yields will determine our course.

Welcome to JetsIn06. He will be taking over the Columbus Astros organization, seeing if he can't take their empty cupboard situation and make good things happen with that franchise.
He goes way back to the original FOOL days, has been around the fast-sim block and so, he's a veteran owner that we're lucky and happy to have. Welcome aboard!

Hey all!
I'm still having issues getting this set up, but thanks for the invite! I'll figure it out soon enough.
I'm going to go step by step through what I did, maybe someone can tell me where I'm going wrong.
Downloaded http://www.wyogeek.com/baseball/SLOP.tar.gz
Downloaded accountsdata_gms.dat
Created SLOP.lg folder in my Saved Games folder
Moved contents of SLOP.tar.gz into the folder
Opened up OOTP, loaded SLOP.lg
I see the league, but it's in 1838. I moved the accountsdata into the settings folder.
I press update league file. It's successful. But I'm still in 1938.
Last night, I managed to get this going somehow. :banghead:

Welcome aboard!
Did you go into the game and load the league settings after placing the dat file into the folder? From the OOTP drop down menu click on online league settings then import the dat file, click test and you should be good to go.

Hey guys...I screwed up last night. I uploaded a file mistakenly from work that wasn't updated and long story short, it's all a mess now. Let me fix this, I'll upload a new file that you all can download.
I'm on this right now, because I was out of the office all day and wasn't on a computer until now.

The current game date is 11/03/1840. I haven't simmed (on my work machine) to the FA1 and so, we'll just start over again doing FA1.
I've uploaded a current file to the server with that date, so people should download it. Jets, I'm going to send a file that ought to get you going.

Since we're talking change, the Columbus Astros are moving to Brooklyn to become the Brooklyn Titans. In the AL, my New York Americans are moving to Seattle to take on the moniker of an old Negro League team, the Seattle Steelheads.

Because of the problems with the file, what we'll do is consolidate free agents this week into two phases. So you'll get one big shot to make offers, then we'll sim to the start of spring training when you'll get your last chance. So tomorrow's export deadline will be for FA1-3 and then we'll be back on schedule for FA4/Spring Training export on Monday.

File is up. Monday we'll sim spring training and that'll be your last chance to make signings in advance of the 1st half of the season.

Ok, I figured out what the problem was. It was a naming file issue on the server. I've fixed the problem now. So go ahead and try to download again and you'll be able to get the newest file up there. Sorry about that.

There have been just two no-hitters (http://www.wyogeek.com/baseball/baseball/history/league_100_accomplishments_5.html) so far in SLOP history. Hilariously, both were by San Diego pitchers against Memphis a year apart. Of course, Will Allen who no-hit the Smokers in '39 when he was with the Fathers, now plays for Memphis.
Kelvin Boyd (http://www.wyogeek.com/baseball/baseball/players/player_634.html) returns to the Titans (formerly Columbus) after inking a 6-year deal worth $225 million. This $37.5m per year deal makes him the new highest paid player in SLOP.
