View Full Version : Question about training intensity change

Following TP6's advice, I changed my training intensity from my previous 95% to a full 100%. In my club events, I get this event:

4/24/2003 The change of training level from 95% to 100% took effect.

I assume this means that this training level will be effective for the games played from now on, not that it will be the training level applied to this week's training update (that will happen in Canada at some point in the night from Thursday to Friday).

Am I right in thinking that? In other words, my training for this week will still happen at 95% while next week's training should be the first week at 100%, right?

I'd think that it would kick in after the update, for the following reason. You could put training at 90% for both games, then bump it up to 100% after Weds game. You'd have lower injury chance, and still get max training benefit -if- the training applied to that same week.

I doubt that large of a loophole exists, so I'm going to say you won't get 100% until next week.

What is TP6 advice ? I am at 91% with 1 physio. Should I just train at 100% ? Do I need more physios ?

In the HattrickPoli vs HAM thread, he stated that he recommended to everybody serious about traing to put train at 100%, with 8 assistant coaches and 2 goaltender coaches. Solid coach was also recommended.

Here's a link to the thread:
http://dynamic2.gamespy.com/~fof/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8126

Somewhere in there I asked him if he recommended the 100% even if I couldn't afford a whole bunch of physios, and he replied that he had trained at 100% with three physios for three seasons without being majorly plagued with injuries.

That's what I just did, bumped my training level to 100% but since I'm training keeper for a week or two, I got 5/5 for assistant/keeper coach ratio...

That's what I think too, exact same reasoning. It would be too easy to play your games with a lower training intensity (say even 50%, or 20, or 0%), then bump it to 100% right before the training update...

Where's TP6 when we need him? ;) Anyboday else? DK, HFP, anybody?

It probably works like setting yout type of training. It reads whatever you have set at the time of update. Then in the case of intensity it would take that setting and play your games for next week at that setting.

I've run 95% on 1 physio with very few injuries. *knock on wood*

Good luck to you. I decided to try what a div II guy has already used :) Maybe I'll have the same kind of luck and someday I'll be in div II too... Not betting my house on it though. :)

TP6 has been playing Zelda :P Anyway, I do recommend training at 100% if you really want the most effective training possible. It will help your team's form as well. Keep in mind there will be an added risk of injuries, but in my experience it wasn't bad at all. So if you get a 7 week injury Sunday, feel free yell at me or something :)

TP6!!!!!

I changed my training level to 100% yesterday, according to the advice of my new sensei, a certain TP6 :)

See the first post of this thread. Will my weekly training update of tonight be a 100% training level update or a 95%, like it was before? In other words, will the training level increase be only applicable ot next week, or to this week already??

I have no idea. I haven't change my training percentage since I changed it to 100% shortly after starting. There were no messages from The Club back then. I assume it updates at training time. I mean I think you will get the 100% training this week and have your following two matches affected by it.
