This might be kind of interesting. By main formation I mean what you use usually for league games, not what you train with in friendlies.

After finally buying enough IMs to make it work... 3-5-2

Too bad two of the fekkers got injured early this season.

3-5-2 for life

3-5-2, and a 3-4-3 to train forwards in friendlies

4-5-1, I have always liked defensive teams in sports...I thought the # of 3-5-2ers and 4-5-1ers would have been closer...but I guess not.

I'm actually suprised that it is this close.

Its no secret the ruskies bore you to death with their 4-5-1.

currently, it's 4-5-1, although I'll start training some 3-5-2 in friendlies so I could use either one in league play...

In CM, I use a variant of 4-5-1 but it doesn't work quite as well in Hattrick since I can't slot two attacking midfielders right behind the lone striker to get the necessary offensive power. Two inner midfielders on "attacking" doesn't do it.

I'm completely boring. I just use the 4-4-2.

I don't have a good enough forward to play 4-5-1, otherwise I would play both 3-5-2 and 4-5-1.

I'm a defensive minded guy...so I use a 4-5-1. I went with a 5-4-1 in league play with mixed results last season...but didn't stay with it.

I play a 4-5-1 during league matches and have won all 3 this season. It was also good for training defending. I'm planning on going to a 3-5-2 though, because my attack blows, and because I'm switching training to Playmaking.

4-5-1 until I can sell defenders next season and switch to a 3-5-2

I have my team built for a defensive 3-5-2, but I also keep my 3-4-3 up to date as I train scoring. This also gives me an offensive option to play should I need to.

Defensive 3-5-2 baby! At least until I find myself a good offensive-minded coach, when I might consider the 4-5-1.

I run a 3-5-2 constantly, as I train playmaking. I'm toying with the idea of switching to a 3-4-3 in friendlies, however, to train forwards...and if I get good enough, maybe I'll one day throw a 3-4-3 into league play to really screw with the other team's strategy :)

I think it's safe to say I'm the only FOFC Hattricker focusing on a 5-3-2 allignment.. Although I will say after receiving some helpful hints from a few fellow FOFC'ers on another H-trick related thread, I will be taking a long, hard look at making a chance in philosophy..

For now though, it's all about the 5-3-2.. ;)

I'm suprised we only have one 3-4-3er

Wow, I seem to be the only 4-3-3.

3-5-2 for me... except i've been using the 4-5-1 ever since my solid striker went down with an injury

3-5-2. So far I am 6-0 with it in competition games so it has worked out very well for me. :D

I play the standard 4-4-2 lineup, although, If I ever get another good IM I will switch over to 3-5-2
