It is almost 4am on a Saturday night and what am I doing? Folding socks. Putting away laundry. And figuring out what path to take in making up a pretend girlfriend to nicely brush off a woman at my part-time job who I thought I had previously brushed off, (but after a year and a half she still doesn't get it.)
Well, at least I have beer!

Develop major quirks. Invite her over for sock folding ceremonies. Tell her all about how you live for that Saturday night folding session.. Fresh socks, warm, right out of the dryer.. Tell her how you like listening to tapes of babies crying to remind you of your childhood, something weird. To get rid of people politely, sometimes the easiest way is to present yourself as a complete lunatic. Make your private life and interests as unappealing and weird as possible.
If that doesn't work, just go back to beer.

Not completely wrong, I AM very abrasive. Though it comes from years of putting up with people like who act like some on this board. I am actually fairly thick skinned when it comes to jibes and jokes, but that skin is also proportional to the level of respect I have for any given individual trying to poke and prod at me. My best friends can rip me a new one and I take it in stride. Others...yeah, not so much.
