Edmonton Composting Facility - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edmonton_Composting_Facility)
So, I was looking up some information about Edmonton and came across this. They divert 60% of their waste from the landfill? Apparently, according to the Edmonton wikipedia page, in the next few years, that number will grow to over 80%. That's pretty damn impressive- cutting your waste in a fifth.
Anyone know anything else about it? Or about how much waste is being deferred in parts of the US, particularly large cities?
SI
