Well, we're at the point now where teams are starting to get eliminated from playoff contention, so for some, thoughts turn to what you've got for 2021. Given the unique way we started the league, I thought that looking at next year's cap picture for everyone might be interesting. Note that this year, the cap is at 147.7 million, and I assume our settings dictate a cap raise from 2.8 to 8.0 million. The numbers here are in millions, truncated rather than rounded to save time.

Sorry about the formatting, but I figure you guys get the idea. This doesn't mention how many players each team has on roster, but that's probably less important anyway. Some big money that can still be tossed around in FA next year, but I haven't looked at who will be available. There's some definite opportunities for teams with plenty of cap room to make trades to teams way over the cap for possible bargains -- though the fact that there are several teams with cap room to blow might drive prices up.

If he doesn't retire, Travis Quackenbush (starting QB in Baltimore this season) will be a free agent, as we simply cannot afford his renegotiation request or anything close to it.

Pretty much my entire roster (barring a couple of fillers) will be back next year, but we'll have to reneg some folks to get under cap. I don't expect to be a player in the FA market, so I'll be concentrating on the draft to continue growing the roster.

The average cap hit next year is just under $129 million so that will leave, on average, about $20 million to play with. Doesn't seem like very much, does it?

Ditto.
Boy, love knowing that we'll be drafting in a couple of weeks. Can't wait as I'm curious to see how that goes as I've only really been a part of one FOF MP league (NAFL) for any length of time and would love to see how this group drafts.

I already knew this from the start, but I am in deep shit.
I did very poorly to start and it is going to be many years before I am likely even competitive *sigh*

I need depth. I lose a lot of that this offseason. I will be collecting alot of undrafted FAs to fill out my roster.

FYI, the cap rises *very* slowly in this league. The setting is not 2.8 to 8.0. It is 1.0 to 1.0.

I have every player signed for at least 2 years right now.

So, Ben, any idea what kind of dollar amount that will equate to?

I'm going to try and field this one.
My rough estimate is between 1.0 and 1.0 million.
Hope that helps!

Just having fun, Johnny. The cap increases in-game are (oddly) set in dollar terms, rather than something like percent increase. So Ben's 1.0 above literally means just a jump from 147.7 to 148.7 million.

Fair enough, QS, the undefeated guy is entitled to dish it out now and again. Bastard!! :)
Honestly had no idea the increase was nominal...shows how much solo FOF I play.

Well, since my initial draft didn't go that well atleast I'll have some $$ to play with during the off-season.

We already have our three guys, so maybe we can add a stud punter.
