I think in the end, the real determinant of who wins this trade will be determined by which team does better faster. If Brooklyn uses Mendoza as fuel towards a resurgence in the CL, then they win. Mendoza will basically spend the rest of his career there and he's a hell of a player and not the sort of guy I wanted to give up. Oh and if Thian reaches his potential than Brooklyn wins this one by a lot.

But getting a top flight pitcher in this marketplace is simply not easy to do and so, it requires giving up talent and well, that's what we did. That said, I'm happy that it worked out and appreciate Commo being open to dealing.

Take care of Christian Larsen for me, k?

Hopefully Mr. Larsen will sign is somewhat cheap extension tonight. Additionally I should note that the poll was added to be voted on after 5 - 10 seasons when we know the ramifications of the trade.

He had a hell of a year for you. I wanted to keep him, but I had youngsters who needed to play. I'm glad he landed with you and seems to want to finish his career our positively. Seems we're keeping the ghost of Nathan Adams alive with me sending you washed up second baseman to fix up.
