The 3-year experiment of no-DH in the FOOL Classic, while it'd been adopted in the RL is over. We need to decide on the plan for the future officially.

Home park. Just like real life.

I would vote to leave the Fool Classic with no DH.. but if I am in the minority there, I would vote to have it match the rules of the home park (ie: DH in RL parks and no DH in the CL parks).. but I really would hate to see the DH in every game. That would be dissapointing!

The only reason I voted for it in RL parks, is because it really does put them at a disadvantage playing by CL rules when they played by RL rules all year, so the home park solution to me is a good compromise.

TBH, in my mind, it's the natural order that maybe should have been instituted from the start. Interestingly enough, the CL is on a two year run under these rules, and the last RL team to do it was a CL team just moved to the RL.

Home park=home rules. I was pretty surprised it was no DH to begin with, but I wasn't complaining. ;)

We only did a three year experiment with no-DH because that's what they did in real life when the AL went to the DH.

Yup, it's true. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Designated_hitter#Background_and_history)
At first, the DH rule was not applied to the World Series. In 1976, it was decided the rule would apply to all games, regardless of venue, but only in even-numbered years. This practice lasted until 1985. The next year, the rule was adapted to its current format of only applying in games played in the American League team's stadium.
And yes, I'd have been fine with avoiding it the way they did it, but given the rancor over the adding of the DH at first, I didn't want to stoke the fires any worse than we did.

I wouldn't worry. CL has a bunch of pussies anyway. :D

And yet we somehow win the FOOL Classic, go figure. :p

Notice I didn't say anything. ;) We're the ones afraid to let pitchers hit. So...I dunno if the pussies are really in the other league.
I just went with making the pitcher slot hit 8th in this year's Classic. I haven't scoured over the data to see if it made a difference or not. I've never done that before, tho.

Well, of course! The Classic is tailored to yer dern league! Come over here and play us with a DH, and then we'll see who's talkin'. ;)

My starting pitchers combined for 21 RBI this year, that is better than a Benji Gil type year at least.
