We are always on the lookout for new, active owners. Even if we don't mention it, always post here if you're interested in your very own FOOL ballclub.

What a fun looking league!
I was in a league called the NABL (North American Baseball League) that was simular in speed (but not in set up)
It was a historical league starting in 1900 and playing until the mid 40's when the league folded. We were not quite as fast, usually playing a season in 2-3 weeks, but it was by far the most fun I have had playing OOTP.
I have a 'micro-manage' league that curbs my itch to look after every detail...I want a league that can pump out the seasons and let us see entire careers of players and not just 4 or 5 seasons before the next version of OOTP is released!
If you have an opening, show me where to sign! I will re-name my first born FOOL if nessesarry.

I'm considering dropping my SP league and trying out this one. I've never been in an OOTP league before though, and I really don't know how much time it takes to do an export or anything like that. Can someone shed some light on how much time I'd need to play in this league?
Thanks guys.

Once you know your team, it doesn't take very long at all. I'm the commish, so I can't really say, but one of the others can tell you. I imagine less than 30 minutes a night. And it's not required. You can't be here, you simply just don't worry about it. As long as you're active as much as you can be, that's pretty much all we ask.

I'm between 15 and 30 minutes most days, but I'm also not a very detailed GM who tweaks lineups a lot and the like. My two big time sucks are:
- Rearranging the minors to make sure guys that need to be in AAA are actually there.
- Making minor league offers to all the young guns out there to bolster my minors.
The only reason there is any time at all is the compressed season, so you have a bit more to do each sim than you might in a slower-paced league, but it's definitely not that bad.

I've emailed you everyone. Depending on the replies I get later and who gets what setup, we'll go ahead and dole out the two inactive clubs tonight. For the waiting list people, I'm considering a different idea that will give us a constant set of vultures, while making things interesting for them, too.

I posted over at OOTP, so these new members are coming directly from there.
Seattle, Chicago and Baltimore will all have new owners before the start of the new season, I believe. In addition, I'll have a new announcement to make as well, regarding feeders, vultures and the such.

I'm interested in the league. I've played the same online league for 1 year. I couldn't post over here earlier because I was not registered and I just saw the post minutes before I had to go to work. I prefer a DH team.

- VL uses the DH (more players get to play, meaning another player we get to evaluate as a hitter)
- Salary cap is $10 million
- Media contract is $1.25 million
- Average attendance is 13000
- 100-game season
- Two divisions of four teams each.
- Winners of the two divisions play in a one-game, winner-take-all championship called The Big Game
- Age limits in the VL are 18-28. This ensures that even if a VL team does manage to hold onto a prospect into their 20s, that by the time they're 29, they'll be joining us. Sorta like Japan IRL. But I don't see this happening a lot. Just trying to be prepared for it.
- All teams play games at Vulture Park in Tokyo. A default ballpark factor park.
