This is just a random idea, nothing I think we necessarily ought to do..but I wanted to put it out there because that's what I do.

You could argue that the regular season as it is relatively anti-climatic. We play, we sim and then the two teams that haven't played each other all year play each other for the FOOL title.

What if we simply awarded the League Pennant to the team with the best record in each league, but let four teams -- 2 from each league -- into the playoffs and instead of playing 1 vs. 2 in their league, we do it based on seeding across the leagues.

1 vs. 4
2 vs. 3

Why?

Well, I'm thinking it might create rivalries and creating more interesting situations. Plus, it'll make the regular season and the post-season as a result, more interesting for more teams than we have now.

In other words, we'd have two seasons. The regular season and the post-season. The playoffs would be the FOOL Playoffs and we could do two best-of-nine game series.

I dunno, it's just an idea. I haven't even put it to a vote yet...but..I'm curious what the peanut gallery thinks of it.

I'm not pushing for anything, but...I'm curious to hear what people think of playoff expansion. I think it would make things more competitive and as a result, more interesting.

Eh, not a huge fan of it. I like our current format :)

I was for wildcards, so id be for this as well. I like the twist of the seeding and think that would add a lot. I also think that as we grow and get more into this and more into our players adding more to the playoffs just adds more fun period. I know not a whole lot of people like it and that im in the minority here, but thats just my 2 cents.
