I'm assuming you mean used like the following sentence:
"The Yanks won last night... SIKE!"

And not:
"That guy is a psych majour."

Psych...Whoever said sike just needs to admit defeat as soon as possible to save face.

I prefer this definition of Sike from the Urban Dictionary:

I swear "sike" is how I've seen it spelled when used how Pyser is describing.

I've always read it as the 1st, but I'm not a spelling or English major either.

Maybe that's it... I saw it written like that as a kid. I don't think I've used the word since... junior high? So it's always been "sike" to me.

Let's not fight over spelling and just agree that it's the most awesomest word in the whole land. I mean, have you really taken a look at the face of a person when you drop a bombshell "PSYCH!!!" on them? It's arousing.

When I used the word, I thought it was "sike." That was how I saw it spelled as a kid. I haven't used it, or seen it used in writing, since then... so until this thread was started, I just thought it was "sike."

I wasn't calling you out, I was just wondering why there were 5 people listed as having voted, but only 4 of them counted. I believe Logan cleared it up, though. :D

I'm actually amazed, I've never even considered that anyone would spell it any other way than 'psych'. Except maybe to put an 'e' on the end.

Of course, considering how the language evolves I'm now forced to confront the knowledge that students will someday be majoring in sikeology.

Why are people still voting "trout" in these things?

I voted trout because psych!!! is the stupidest "word" ever. I fell prey to peer pressure and said it one time in Junior High, and I've never forgiven myself. And, people who spell it "sike" are only compounding the idiocy.

I have spoken.
