It's too late for the JTR game, but I was thinking that the GMs out there could make it a little easier by linking their day and night posts to the first page of the thread. I know it would make it easier on new players (and old) if they did that because they would be our bookmarks to look back over the days. Once you get to Night 3, it all sort of jumbles together for me.
So, the first posts in the thread would be the signups/game description/roles/placeholder for days and nights.
Just a thought.

I actually I had intended to do this throughout the game, but I have been so short on time (especially in the morning), that I didn't have time to set it up (and then forgot to do it when I did). Also, I haven't ever found out the format for getting a link straight to a particular post.
I do think it's a good idea.

If you click on the post number, it will bring up a window with that post. Then cut'n'paste the link into your message. Although it won't bring you to the actual page, we'll know what post number it is and can figure out what page it is.

If you want to see how I did it in the tombstone game, you can check it out here:
http://fof.sportplanet.gamespy.com//forums/showpost.php?p=1266192&postcount=3
To get that, all I did was click on the quote button of each day's lynching. In the header of the quote, you get the message: QUOTE=Raiders Army;1326079. I then just took that number and put it in as the new number for the next day's p=####### and put it there. Took me about 15 seconds each day to post the link.
Hope that helps for people trying to do it in the future, was quick and easy for me.

That's a good way of bookmarking the game. I like it!

I really liked this in that game and would like to do it in mine as well.

How do you change the name of the link from a long "http://...." to "End Day1"?

[URL="http://aaa"]http://aaa[URL]
The bolded part is where you change the name. The part in the [ ] is where the link sends it to the actual URL.

I am going to try doing something like this for the Rome game.
