Once the game has been downloaded, is there a hard copy sent out, or any back-up should the computer with the downloaded files lose them?
Are there any measures in place for such an occurance?

You can go back and download the game at any time as long as you have your original Customer ID information. You just need to be sure to manage the license in e-license if your game gets corrupt by unlicensing it before re-installing.

There is no need to have a hard copy.

Also, if you do experience a hard drive failure and are unable to unlicense the game, Viatech is usually great about reseting the license for you.
