If everything everyone is saying is to be trusted then the following people are bad guys.
2. BrianD
6. ntndeacon
9. Tyrith
17. LoneStarGirl
23. Sublime 2
I have no idea what to do. I know that I am of the light. I don't have a role that grants me any sort of information, so like DC, I am left trusting in what other are telling me. Which has been the case in every freaking game of WW I have played.
Let's see what happens the rest of the day. Sigh.
I noticed you removed Dodgerchick from the list. Any particular reason? I assume everyone will say they are a good guy, but I'm looking for secondary vouching at this point in the game. All of my cards are on the table. I don't highly view Dodgerchick as a suspect, but she has to stay on the list as a possibility until someone trusted can vouch for her.

Which means of course that someone who is "trusted " shouldn't be.
Not really, I don't like Spleen's list. he removed himself and Dodgerchick from it. Out of those 7 (plus possibly Thomkal) I'm guessing we likely have 1-3 villagers in there, but the rest are evil.
Pretty good odds for us either way though.

I'm guessing there was 15-17 villagers + bree folk to start the game, with 5-7 saruman + sauron and 1-3 independants.
7 dead villagers, 8 people I trust pretty completely:
Alan T, Jonathan, Swaggs, Grammaticus, Daddy Torgo, Schmidty, Izulde, Mr.Wednesday
I don't know if I trust Thomkal yet or not, but i haven't found out anywhere that i can prove he's lied and Swaggs seems to confirm at least part of his story. Since Swaggs I have independant trust of, I believe him.
That tells me of the 8 people left, I think its a great list to lynch from since at most there is 1-3 villagers on it and the rest are bad.
It's interesting that YOU don't mention Thomkal as part of the 8 you trust completely, but yet you trust Swaggs list which includes Thomkal. Very, very interesting. It's like you're leaving a little wiggle room for yourself. "Well, I have my list of trusted people and I trust Swaggs, so combine my list with his and we're set".
Also, some people on your trust list have been highly suspected so the fact they're on your list makes me suspect even more.
Gosh darnit... my head hurts and I'm sleep deprived. I'm out for a few hours.

Here is how I view a trust list right now:
Full trust:
1. AlanT
11. Swaggs
13. Jonathan Ezarik
19. Izulde
22. Grammaticus
24. DaddyTorgo - Ventrick
10. Schmidty
18. Mr. Wednesday
Ok feelings but probably 1+ wolves in this group:
21. Thomkal
2. BrianD
7. spleen1015
12. Dodgerchick
Neutral:
6. ntndeacon
23. Sublime 2
Distrust:
9. Tyrith
17. LoneStarGirl

Why is that interesting? i already said I got PM information about Swaggs, I was told his role as the innkeeper. I havent gotten any information on Thomkal other than what he said. I don't view Thomkal in the vouched for list, but like you I feel right now that he seems good.
I dont understand why that seems like wiggle room.. All I am vouching for is the people I have full trust in or those people fully vouch for.

Go back and read my post. I said if what everyone says is true than those are the people who would be bad guys. DC has said she is of the light, so she gets included in my statement.
Alan, I have seen you constantly twist the words of many people in this game time and again. I'm not saying that any of those people are right, but you've been putting a lot of spin on a lot of what everyone else is saying.
Blade turned out to be a good guy and he made a good run at getting Thomkal lynched yesterday. So, right now, lynching Thomkal today is the logical thing to do regardless of his reveal. If I was able to switch my vote last night, Thomkal would have been lynched and we would be in a different place today.
Hell, for all I know Thomkal, Swaggs and Alan are dark driving what's going on. If that is the case, there is a lot of power right there I don't like the situation the good guys are in at all. I don't trust any that has revealed. It just doesn't sit right with me.

Its fine with me, you don't need to trust me. Right now the villagers that are trusted out number the bad guys. I think we have enough good guys left who have been vouched for to force the issue. Voting records from here on out will be pretty important to determine which of those left are the bad guys.

I'd like to apologize in advance for my absence today. I have woken up with a bad migraine, and will not be able to concentrate on this game until I feel better. Please do not spin this as me trying to hide (not that I have anything to hide). I would never use a RL excuse to cover my absence from posting.
There's still a long time till lynch and at some point I will feel good enough to post some more. Again I'm sorry-I know you need me to be active today and it sucks that I cannot.

Lonestargirl, since its just you and me and 4 guests in the thread right now, I would like to know what your trust and distrust list looks like.
I've laid out my list, so curious to yours. Who do you trust, who do you distrust and who is neutral or unknown to you?
LoneStarGirl
11-10-2006, 09:35 AM
Well Alant, here is how it is. Since Thomkal is going to pussy out on us today (sorry Anxiety, it slipped) I will let you know how i stand.
I am the real seer. I didn't want to reveal this last night because it would have been my word against Thomkals with 20 minutes to lynch and i didn't want to die last night. I have been questioning Thomkal so much because what he said doesn't make since to me. I do see more about the person besides if they are dark and light.
Day one- scanned blade
day two - scanned alant
day three - scanned lathum
day four - scanned izulde
Alant, i can reveal a lot about you and izulde, but i wont because i dont want to say too much. Push me and I will.
LoneStarGirl
11-10-2006, 09:37 AM
I scanned blade because i have found out in early games blade is a hell of a player, i wanted to know immediatly if he was bad. the second night i was tired of alant and blades bickering if they were on the same team, so i checked alant. After that lathum almost died, and he wasn't playing his normal game, so i checked on him. Last night I went after Izulde because i didn't want to check on thomkal, i figured he would be dead once i revealed today, and izulde has been against me since day one.
Mr. Wednesday

So let's see, Thomkal names Jonathan (who I think is doing an excellent job on his analysis for being a first timer), Schmidty, and Mr. W as villagers. I'm not entirely sure I buy it. I mean is it possible that they're all part of the same team and he named them because he wanted to "clear them" in a way?
If it was a faked reveal, I doubt more than one of the three of us is known by Thomkal to be bad. Considering how close the reveal came to not working, if he tried to "clear" three team members, it would have had precisely the opposite effect.

LoneStarGirl
11-10-2006, 09:39 AM
All four people i have scanned are of the light. I hate that because i wanted at least one person to name when i revealed. I was almost certain izulde was bad last night.... but i was wrong.
LoneStarGirl
11-10-2006, 09:41 AM
I will back you and izulde all day... but right now we have to go after thomkal. I cannot believe people bought his bs story last night. The reason he named those three people is because he knew they were good. He also knew they were three of the less vocal players so they would be more likely to switch votes without analyzing it too much. But Gramm has to be bad too, he immediatly switched off of thomkal, no questions asked.
Alan T
11-10-2006, 09:41 AM
Dola,
Also in your role you would then say you have no reason to doubt my vouch list as it stands based on what you know of me? (once again note that Thomkal is not on the vouched for list)
LoneStarGirl
11-10-2006, 09:44 AM
The only problem i have is that i scanned you on day 2. you might have been converted. But if you were converted i doubt you would have izulde on your trust list.... but i need to know that you REALLY trust Gramm, because i dont.

I will vouch completely for Gramm. If you believe me to be of the light, I will vouch for him too.
I think we as a group need to be cautious with how we proceed today. What Lonestargirl is saying here confirms to me that she does know information about me. But today is going to be a huge day for us to win or lose.
I think today it would be a huge mistake for us to lynch Lonestargirl -OR- Thomkal for now. Both can continue to provide us information that we can choose to believe as we will. We still have a list of several others that are not vouched for and its not a risk of killing our seer off.
Lets let the bad guys do the seer killing for us. THey cant let the real seer sit out there for multiple days creating a CoT, it will devastate them. So this is the time in the game, we play some poker with the bad guys. Lets call their bluff.
If they want the seer dead, they'll have to do it. If its you Lonestargirl then I'm sorry you have to die to them, but thank you for your timely reveal. Today is the day for it. But I would rather they kill you than we lynch you. Same thing for Thomkal.
Today I think we need to focus on the people not vouched for and leave both LSG and Thomkal alone. Lets not do the bad guy's work for them

BrianD
11-10-2006, 09:48 AM
So we now have three seers visible in the game? Thomkal claims to be able to see light/dark, Alan claims that Izulde can see light/dark, and LSG claims to be able to see light/dark and more. That seems like a lot of seers.
LoneStarGirl
11-10-2006, 09:49 AM
Thomkal straight out lied, i know izulde's role, and its not as obvoius as what i see as a seer.
Mr. Wednesday
11-10-2006, 09:51 AM
Daddy, are you of the side of light?
I was wondering about this question, the reveal would offer an explanation for why he asked.
Swaggs, if you want to check me at any point, I've said (more than once) that I'm the side of light and the villagers.
Alan T
11-10-2006, 09:52 AM
I think a couple of issues need to be worked out...
Swaggs, we need to know how foolproof your ability is to making sure that Schmidty and Mr.W are clean. I trust you, so if you say that your scan reveals to you that they are clean and vouched for then so be it. Its a good possibility if Thomkal is bad, that he did put three good guys on the list. I just want to make sure that is the case here. Of course Thomkal might also be good. Only time will tell, i just don't want Schmidty and Mr.W slipping in fully backed unless there is good reason to. I'll trust you Swaggs so just want to revisit this.
So if we lay off Schmidty and Mr.W because of Swaggs, lay off of LSG and Thomkal because the risk of lynching the wrong seer is too great and not worth the reward, and people believe my vouched list.. that leaves these people to look at for today:
2. BrianD
6. ntndeacon

9. Tyrith
12. Dodgerchick

I didn't claim Izulde can see light/dark. Its actually role information, maybe he gets more, but I don't get any light/dark info. All I have been working on is based off of the roles
Mr. Wednesday
11-10-2006, 09:54 AM
Alan, if you believe his ability, then what we know is that Thomkal believes that all three people he named are good. If, arguendo, he's in one of the bad factions and that faction doesn't know members of the other faction, then we actually aren't completely cleared.

That is my concern as well. I'm keeping you and Schmidty on a different tier for now of not completely trusted, but people to not consider for a lynch.
Before all of the reveals I was leaning to thinking you were bad and Schmidty was good. But for now all of that will wait. Everything will sort itself out over time.

But, I am of the light. That is for certain. I am believing LSG and I think we need to lynch Thomkal today.
I am of the belief that we should NOT lynch LSG or Thomkal today. Let the bad guys do the work for us there. The risk/reward of guessing the wrong seer is too great. The worst case scenerio, LSG is the seer and Thomkal is bad, we just let Thomkal keep talking and its just 1 more bad guy in the game. Likewise the same thing is true if LSG is bad and thomkal is the seer.
Right now I'm probably leaning towards believing LSG, but that point is irrelevant. We have a list of 6 people totally un vouched for. That group likely can't have more than 2 villagers in it. Unless we are extremely unlucky we should at least get one bad guy by focusing on that list more.
BrianD

spleen the reason i picked you to put pressure on is because i haven't scanned you and it seems nobody has vouched for you yet.
That's cool with me. You guys have no reason to believe that I am good. I get it. I just want you guys to know that I'm of the light.
My name is Nob and I am a stableworker, a hobbit servant of Barliman Butterbur at the Inn of the Prancing Pony. I am a paranoid little fellow, so I hide from everyone at night even if I trust them. I can choose to not hide if I want to, but I don't see any reason to do so at this point. If I say that I'm not hiding on a given night, then that just opens me up for the baddies. So, it's not worth it to me.
LoneStarGirl
11-10-2006, 10:02 AM

I'm pretty sure Blade caught on to hints LSG dropped to him earlier in the game. He even mentioned it as such a few days ago. I'm not sure that there is much I haven't revealed, but all I can say is that I find LSG's story more plausible than Thomkal's right now. Whether or not I completely trust either of them will only be seen later, but LSG's story is good enough for me to want to push us in the direction I am and not lynch either of them.

Think this through though...
If you are telling the truth and Thomkal is lying.. keeping him in the game forces the bad guys hands. They have to then make the decision of killing the real seer and letting us on to it, or keeping the real seer alive to keep this smoke screen going.
So the real seer either gets an additional day of life from it, or at least we forced the bad guys to reveal their hand letting us know which one is real.
As a villager without info on either of you, I find your story to be more believable for now, but neither of you can be in my vouch list. At this point I am not ready to take the risk of killing the wrong seer, so would instead focus on one of the unvouched.
So far -EVERYONE- in both your list and Thomkal's list can be vouched for by a second person, so keeping both of you alive doesn't create false trust for anyone else. It buys us a day with the seer and forces the bad guys by calling their bluff.

I never really assumed Blade was bad by the way. As you know I never once voted for him, and last night when Tyrith was trying to set Blade up for the fall I wasn't going to buy it.
Having Blade throw alot of heat on me I think helps keep me in the game longer. I don't know if he honestly thought I was bad or not though, but I didn't mind the heat.

You are right, Blade did pretty much say that he thought LSG was a seer. I'm not advocating that we lynch her or anything, I'm just checking our assumptions.
LSG, I'm not asking you to reveal more information than you are comfortable revealing. Again, just checking assumptions.
One more assumption to check, Alan, you did say that Izulde got role information but not light/dark affiliation. Do you have a way of knowing what the roles that he sees are? You mentioned the Inn Keeper and the Dwarven Storyteller. Are you assuming that the dark members won't have a normal-sounding job in town? Also, do you know Izulde is good or are you taking LSG's word for it?

I know Izulde is good, and the roles usually are pretty descriptive. its not the one liner that you get from the first page at death. I knew that Lathum was a dwarf who told story to children. I know Swaggs is a hospitable innkeeper for instance.
I mean sure the bad guys could have a role that tells stories to kids.. but I would think it more likely it would be passing out candy to kids :)
Sorry I digress...
Either way, one thing we have to keep in mind is that its very possible that the bad guys also get a seer role of some sort. Saruman and Sauron both had palantirs that they could use to scan people with and learn about their actions.
Having someone in this game at this point tell me information about me doesn't necessarily clear them in my mind. Thats why I don't want to take the risk of lynching the wrong seer. Lets let the bad guys do that for us.

Yes, this list I trust:
1. AlanT
11. Swaggs
13. Jonathan Ezarik
19. Izulde
22. Grammaticus
24. DaddyTorgo - Ventrick
Swaggs has a list he trusts:
Mr.Wednesday
Schmidty
Jonathan Ezarik
Thomkal has a list he trusts:
Jonathan Ezarik
Schmidty
Mr.Wednesday
Lonestargirl has a list she trusts:
Alan T
Izulde
My thoughts is for today we avoid anyone on any of those lists. There are a handful of people not on any list that we can tackle.

I think I am fine with the plan of leaving Thomkal and LSG alone for the day. We've just had so many reveals in the past few days that I'm trying to wrap my head around all of them. Since I'm not involved in any of them and I have no information, I have to figure out what can and should be believed. I also need to make sure that nobody is pushing things in a bad direction.

Like I said, I think the chance the bad guys have a seer role is very possible in this game, one that can reveal information about others. I would assume if you are the good seer like i currently think, you will respect that I have no way to prove this about you otherwise. What I am asking for is to let the bad guys make that move for us.
I think a run off today between ntndeacon and Sublime, two unknowns who both managed to avoid heat yesterday from Blade and myself. I noticed alot of the people who were not voting for ntndeacon are those not on the cleared list.
I think those two is the best place to start today

For whatever its worth, I can see two scenerios right now in my head. One putting a dark cloud on LSG, one on Thomkal. I honestly don't know which to believe which is why I am pushing for neither right now.
1) Lonestargirl is actually a bad guy seer. She knows information about people she scanned because its her role, she just is on the bad guy's side. She was waiting till the real seer to reveal and then set it up to force the good guys to lynch the wrong seer by revealing what she knows making her sound more "real".
2) Thomkal is actually a bad guy, and he gave three names of people who were good guys to try to save himself from the lynch. If he ended up getting lynched anyways, suspicion would be on those three good guys and the villagers would waste time spinning their wheels trying to figure out which if any of those were bad. His move was to try to draw out the real seer to night kill.
Currently I am believing #2 is more likely the case and leaning to thinking LSG is most likely good, but because of reasonable doubt I won't sell my cow for either of these guys magic beans.
LSG right now good or bad probably feels she has the upper hand knowing one little part of my reveal that I enhanced a little bit which she could reveal, but it obviously isn't a huge deal since either way I am good. If she feels she needs to do it then so be it, but i have my reasons for doing what I do:)

Because then the bad guys have to make the decision to either continue the ruse by keeping our real seer alive another day to keep their seer out of suspicion, or they kill the real seer and help tell us exactly who the next bad guy to lynch is.

I agree that #2 sounds more likely, but I do have a nagging suspicion since Blade "outted" LSG and nobody took her out.
To be honest, I also have to consider the possibility that #1 is true and that you are on her team. You could easily feed her information to "see" through your "enhanced" reveal.
I'm not accusing anyone, but also being a vanilla villager means that I can't take anything on faith.

The only problem I have with this plan is that it's highly likely to get me killed today, but I suppose those are the woes of playing WW. But the way that the trust lists have all come together in the last few hours is just too cute. I wonder what the result on Swaggs action would have been if Jonathan, Schmidty, or W were on the opposite bad guy team from Thomkal? This is a possibility that can't be discounted, even if it shouldn't be chased down today.
And you're lucky that LSG cleared you, or your role reveal wouldn't have helped you out, Alan.
I want to see Schmidty finally reveal his role, that's been going on long enough.
Barring even more new information I will probably vote for Thomkal.

I understand that, its possible, however I have a feeling that Izulde will vouch completely for me. And as far as I can tell Izulde and LSG either have been very good actors or really distrusted each other. I also have a feeling I'll get vouched for by many other people. I'm not entirely worried about my trust, but can understand in a game like this nothing is ever absolute.
I will say however that I am pretty sure all of our seers (fake or real) will likely confirm I'm good, regardless of what team they are on. I actually dare someone to come out and say I'm not. :)
One other thing I looked at.. the people on my "watch list" for today and their votes from yesterday:
2. BrianD - Izulde, Thomkal
6. ntndeacon - izulde, thomkal
7. spleen1015 - tyrith, izulde
9. Tyrith - sublime, mr.wednesday, izulde, thomkal
12. Dodgerchick - Schmidty, Mr.Wednesday

Here is my laundry list that I want from Thomkal. Posting it here so someone please remind me when he does show back up..
1) Who did you (Thomkal) scan last night?
2) What was the result of your scan last night?
3) What is your character name, race and role title?
If you choose to not answer these questions, I will choose to not believe your story any longer.
If you choose to lie about any of it, I'm sure I'll find out.

11-10-2006, 10:50 AM
Well. This sure is getting interesting. I'm not sure what to make of LSG's claim of being a seer, although she has moved closer to me "good" column. I really wish Thomkal was around, and I find it fishy that he didn't tell us who he scanned last night. I don't care if he's not feeling well, at least give us that.
I know I was heavily behind Thomkal last night, but after sleeping on it I'm not so sure. Looking back, calling out Mr. W, Schmidty, and I to save himself does sound evil. At the time he was going to die. And if he dies and it turns out he's evil, then the three he named get clumped into the evil bin as well. It sounds like a good play by a wolf to bring down even more people. And of course, there's this bit of news from Swaggs:
I chose to the part about whether or not Jon, Mr. W, and Schmidty are all good and Thomkal believes that they are.
Note it doesn't say that Thomkal knows that we are good, just that he believes it. I would think that a seer would know for a fact who's good and who isn't.
Having said that, I'm not completely convinced that Thomkal is evil. It is possible that LSG is an evil seer, or perhaps Thomkal is an evil seer (if he's even a seer at all). I agree with the opinion of keeping these two alive and seeing how they play out over the next couple of days.

As a person who suffers from migraines, I'm willing to give this action a pass. Depending on the type of migraine, there are times when I have to lie in a dark room with pillows over my head to block out any bit of light or sound or else I'll be throwing up from the pain. This could be a ploy to give himself more time to think, but I'm not willing to demand anything from a guy with a migraine.

It could have been resolved one way or another last night true :) But I would rather resolve it later with the possibility of getting more seer data from the real seer before they are killed.
Once the fake seer is outed, there is very little reason to keep the real seer alive for them. They might be soon to that point anyways, but I'm willing to let them make that move for us.

Yeah, I can see that point. We wouldn't need to discuss that until Day 6, actually. Because frankly, the baddies are taking a gamble if they let the Light seer live another night. Each night that goes by where they don't kill the Light seer is another night where they risk getting themselves outed.

Its comments like this that make me not be able to fully trust you LSG.
You know that I know what you were hinting at earlier. I know that you know this.
You scanned Izulde last night as good. Izulde vouches for me fully. If you really are the good seer, I don't see why you would follow this line of thinking.
Either way, I honestly don't know which to believe more you or THomkal right now. Its very inconvienant that Thomkal is not here right now, as I would love to grill him.
And to Tyrith, if they let both of them live another night then great. One more day of seer reads from both of them for us to use :)

If we don't have a plan it is certainly something they could do in order to totally screw us. What is the real seer scans a wolf then fake one ALSO scans a wolf? Who do we go with? We can't just let this keep going without thinking about the possible consequences. Being a wolf is all about risks, and with us actually having a CoT now they're going to have to take some more.

I am willing to cross that bridge when we get there. I think today's vote will hopefully tell us more about who is on what side and if they both hand us a wolf, we can use some of that data to determine which is the safer choice (or do a run off between both of the wolfs possibly).
I think right now we have the upper hand, so no reason for us to do anything rash. Since this is FOFC, in football terms its the beginning of the 4th quarter and we have a 14 point lead. We don't need to throw any hail marys, we just need to get a good running game going and force them to try to make the huge play.

So Swaggs, you found out that jon, mr.w, and schmidty are all good? and by that fact thomkal must be good?
It is not certain, but I think that, if he Thomkal were evil, he would have thrown in a bad name so that the group would have a little bit of question. I doubt that he considered that someone with my ability would be in this game, but it is not impossible. For now, I think he is fine.

I believe your story, but I don't want to let people into the vouched list unless we are absolutely sure. If you are ok vouching for them then thats fine. I just want to make sure we are sure about them.

I thought about what Brian mentioned: alant and LSG might be evil and for all we know, alan is coaching LSG on what to say. I mean who knows, once blade mentioned that he thought LSG was a seer, they could have used that and ran with it.
Dunno, just kinda thinking out loud.

Here is why Thomkal isn't as certain: He could have seer abilities and know the allegiance of the players he scanned, but could still be on the dark side.
Right now, I doubt that, because I believe he would have put a ringer into his group if he were evil.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I am not letting anyone that either seer say is good in the fully trusted circle until we get secondary backing at least. You have seen me asking Swaggs if he feels he can be completely sure or not because that is going to be a big part of whether or not I feel Schmidty and Mr.W can be fully trusted.
Getting the names from THomkal and LSG are still good though, because it gives us a chance to catch them in a trap of lying about someone. Plus we can just disregard the names of the people who the fake seer stated were good when we get to that point.
If they let both seers live another 2-3 days, then we'll have to make that call then, however we'll have 2-3 days more worth of seer scans and in a way kept our seer alive that much longer.

Alan, if you believe his ability, then what we know is that Thomkal believes that all three people he named are good. If, arguendo, he's in one of the bad factions and that faction doesn't know members of the other faction, then we actually aren't completely cleared.
This is correct.
He believes all three are good. That doesn't clear him, by any means, but I think he would have mixed it up a bit unless he was aware of my ability. I am hopeful that, by the PM stating that "he believes," it means all three of you are cleared. I would hope it would say something to the effect that he was not certain if that were the case.

Nope. I won't/can't give out more info, partly because of rules in my role, and partly for the sake of the preservation of the town and myself.
I've been throwing out as many hints as I can, but even if the hints are figured out, as far as a traditional role, that's still only half the story. Sorry I can't be more clear as of right now.

Considering that we can't divine motivation through game abilities, I'd be willing to say that "he believes" is the same as "he saw". How else would the game mechanics deal with it? The GM won't ask him what he believes, so there must have been a reason for him to "believe". The only thing that may throw a wrench into this is having someone with the ability to mask their own affiliation, or the affiliation of someone else. Of course this would be a problem for LSG as well as Thomkal.

Just to play along with the devil's advocate.. if LSG, Izulde and I were all on the same side and say we were all evil, it would mean we would have 2 seperate seer roles. Even if you cancel out the duplicates such as Lathum, myself and Izulde who are on multiple lists, it still leaves LSG having scanned Blade supposedly and me having information I dropped in hints for Swaggs, plus there is enough other information that I've dropped in hints for Jonathan, Grammaticus and Daddy Torgo that I'm guessing they would support me too.
So for this nightmare scenerio to be true, we would have to have either an 8 person bad guy team or have 1 team with many many seer scans.
Even though its WW, sometimes it really is the simplest scenerio that makes the most sense. I showed you my examples of what I left for Swaggs and Lathum well before any reveals. I left information for Izulde, grammaticus, Jonathan, Daddy Torgo as well which I'm guessing some if not all picked up on.
My interaction with Blade wasn't anything where I felt he was bad, it kept me alive long enough to try to figure out some form of COT. Now that we have it, we need to just carry it from there.

Guys, we need to lynch Spleen he is lying.
I said earlier that my name was Barliman Butterbur. If you all recall my odd request as to whether or not anyone's name rhymed with Chief Rum's name (Nob), it was because I looked myself up on wikipedia:
Barliman Butterbur is a fictional character from J. R. R. Tolkien's epic fantasy The Lord of the Rings.
Butterbur was the owner of the Inn of the Prancing Pony in Bree. He was a Man, but as Bree was inhabited by both Men and hobbits, he had two hobbit employees: Bob, who worked in the stables, and Nob, a servant.
Why would my name be correct, Chief's name be correct, and Spleen's name be "Hob" rather than Bob? Spleen felt some heat even though there was none directly placed on him, made an unncecesary fake reveal, and had an "Oh Shit!" moment. Don't let this slide. Alan, I think we learn something by keeping Thomkal and LSG alive for another day. I suspect I will be at the top of the list for a night kill tonight, but if either of them die their names will be cleared. If they live until tomorrow, they will each have another set of names to reveal and they should be looking at a pretty small set of targets to choose from and should be able to provide us with someone to lynch tomorrow which will either prove or disprove them.
As of right now, I'm not crazy about the list LSG provided, so she is not in my COT. She gave two names of deceased players and two players that were already in my CoT.

The way I am viewing it,
I have a list of 6 vouched for
I have a list of 6 unvouched for
I have a list of 4 seer revealed but not definites.
As seers scan people, we can put more into the seer revealed but not definite list. However we still have quite a few people who are not vouched for nor seer revealed that I am fine looking into.
I hate to say it, but we probably don't have much more than 3 or 4 good guys that arent in the vouched list right now.
So Im willing to take the 60-70% chance of nailing a bad guy while letting our seer live longer to provide more information. Eventually the bad guys will either have to kill them or they will run out of people waiting us out.

I agree obviously with keeping them both alive. I think the big question the bad guys will have to face tonight is who to kill. Kill me to shut me up? Kill you since you seem to have an undisputable role and are vouched for? Kill Izulde? Kill the real seer? Kill someone else in the vouched for list?
No matter what they choose, we still will have alot of firepower and continue to shrink our CoT. Thats why its important for us to not kill someone who is a possible bad guy target and do their work for them. Its one extra move they have to make.

I don't have absolute knowledge. With your ability you have knowledge, I'm going on gut which sometimes is better than some people's analysis.

I guess the more I think about it, I didn't choose a great quote to check last night. At the time, I figured that him saying that they were all good would both prove him as the seer and/or give us a small list to target.
Thinking it through, if Thomkal is an evil seer on either Saruaon or Sauron, he could think someone on the opposite evil faction is good without having checked them and only knowing that his teammates are not good. The fact that he took the time to check in today without giving us the name and status of who he seered last night doesn't sit well with me, as it would not have taken any longer to add that information. It makes me think he wanted to check out the status of the game before revealing, which makes little sense since he is already revealed.

Yep, that was my point earlier too, if I had to choose I think I believe LSG more than Thomkal right now, but to me its irrelevant, I think even if Thomkal is bad, keeping him alive longer has the outside chance ofkeeping the real seer alive longer too.
Also not killing thomkal has the added effect of not killing our real seer in case I'm wrong and he really is telling the truth.
Now if only he would give us some information

To be fair, he might legitimately be sick with a migrane. I'm holding off my complete lambasting of him till he gets back. The paranoid part of my mind tells me that he was not prepared for my reveal this morning and needed to wait till more wolf buddies woke up to discuss strategy with.
However I don't like thinking the worst of people, so for now I think I should give him the benefit of the doubt. However if he hedges when he does get here, I'm going to be annoyed with him. Not annoyed to lynch him today, but annoyed none the less.

Anyway, I don't know what to make of spleen. Part of me wants him to die because if he's bad it might actually start to clear me a little, and I can use any help I can get. Also, the kind of slip he made is the kind of slip that someone might make if they were coming up with some BS role story and just didn't double check everything. But there's also the distinct possibility it was a typo. However, if Swaggs wants more movement, he shall get it.

What are the cases against ntndeacon and Sublime?
They are both on my short list of people who aren't vouched for by anyone, sublime was someone blade was pushing and ntn was someone I was pushing. And for 3 days straight, the wolves havent had any problem jumping on to vote for alot of people, but they definitly have avoided ntn like the plague (as example out of yesterday's vote NO-ONE on the unvouched for list voted for ntndeacon. All 8 people who did at some point are on the vouched for or at least seer revealed list.
Either way though, its for tommorrow, since Spleen seems like a better choice today.

Ok, all caught up.
I can understand why I'm getting pressured a bit. It's my first game, you guy's don't know how I'm playing b/c you have no history to work with. But I'll tell you know I'm a stable keeper at the Cloven Shoe, my name is Agonar Thistleroot. Other than that, I got nothing for you guys, no race, no affiliation with the dark, just a plain old villager.
As for a vote, I thought before today that everyone's names were just completely made up. But with Spleen's 'slip up,' if it was one (are we sure it was?), it's hard to look past him. I'm going to wait a bit, after some more discussion, to make my vote.

Well the upside of it is we will have a record of who didn't vote for spleen or who messed around. At this point on the run I highly doubt they want to draw more attention to themselves because it could cause them to be tommorrow's vote.
If they are really brave enough to mess with the lynch vote to save their own, then it will only help our distrust lists.

I have a hard time believing that Saruman's forces will risk putting their own necks into the fire to save Sauron's forces and vice versa.
They obviously have to work together to kill us, but neither side wants to be down 3-1 to the other in the chance they do manage to pull it off. I have a feeling there won't be enough people to mess with the spleen vote to pull it off. It would be way too suspicious of them.

Almost everyone in this game has a made up name. Is it not possible that Anxiety chose to use 2 of them and not the other?
Let me ask this question. When you guys lynch me and I turn out to be Hob the stableworker, what are you going to think about the situation then? Do you think it is wrong for Anxiety to use 2 of the real names form the story that have a relationship like this and change the name of the third person in that relationship. I find a problem with that.

Then tonight our seers (all of them!) get to scan a new person and we get to do this all over again.
Whatever its worth right now I feel ntndeacon is most likely to be wolf out of those left, but spleen is the safest play as he messed up, is not vouched for and has a role that we don't get hurt if we lose. (ie not a seer, bodyguard, etc)

I think Spleen’s story about hiding and being able to avoid night actions is sounding like crap. He probably made it up from playing in the tombstone game (Anxiety’s actor role). But even the actor role in that game had a risk with using the role. Put the Nob, to Hob name reveal along with the fact it should have been Bob is icing on the cake.

It doesn't really affect my view of either person to be honest. I already had ntn most suspected, and this behavior in my mind just adds to my suspicion of him.
I've voted for him the past 2 days, so you don't really have to convince me much at this point.
As for brianD, its definitly better than him not answering it. For the record i was a wolf once and pulled the stunt where I said something like that for a soothsayer to scan with the hope that they would take my willingness to do it as trust and choose someone else, and they did fall for it.
So My personal opinion is that Brian D is more trusted than Ntn, but that was the case before this. I would still scan Brian's statement before putting him into the CoT though. And as for ntndeacon, I already plan on voting him tommorrow unless something amazing happens.

Hello folks, your friendly neighborhood GM is here checking in. I want to discuss some current votes real quick, and then I'll nip back out of your hair.
If you want to vote for someone because of a valid, in game reason, then feel encouraged. Feel free. If you want to vote for someone because of a feeling or a sense of the person based on their posts, feel free.
However, please do NOT base that vote on outside information, such as what an authentic Tolkien name might be and so forth. That's outside the bounds.

This is the last time I can scan this game, so I want to make sure that I use it well and use it today, as I doubt they will let me sit on it.

Been slammed with work.
VOTE SPLEEN
Tyrith and LSG are sounding like they are bad too.
LSG, what method do you use to make your scans?
I’m going to try to stay caught up with the posts, but will leave around 5pm and likely not be back until after lynch.
I think gramm is making a new hip hop album..
Put the nob to the hob ..to the bob hip hop hob
Word
peace out

I can understand that, just was playing devil's advocate is all since he could be hedging on your trust of his willingness to let you scan him as a way to get past the scan and gain trust.
Or he could really be a good guy.

Ntn, do you have any reveals to make? Are you on the side of light?

As I said earlier I have not pre game info on Blade. (or anyone else ) I was role playing as was speculated . I am a poor Tomato Farmer. I was using the "fact" that Blade was not above going into someone's house without permission as his ramblings seemed to say.
It could have been those thieving Tookses too. :D
Well whether or not he is a good guy or bad, at least his story stayed consistant.

Interesting that ntndeacon disappears immediately after me asking him to clearly state he is on the side of light.
just pesky bad luck on my part, except for the fact igot to go home from work :D

Except that by setting it in the Middle Earth world, that which is the lore has now, by extension, become part of the in-game. It's true that either side can win without anyone knowing anything about ME, but I still believe that knowledge of it can be an added bonus.

Yes, you definitely did.
Ntndeacon on the other hand, flaked out and did not answer. I'm hoping he does before the lynching deadline. If he wants to clear his name and give us a good direction to look to tomorrow, after I am presumably dead, he should tell us, very clearly, that he is on the side of light.
No he didn't flake out he finished talking to a student in his office then shut off his computer without seeing said question. Answering it 30 min later when he was again in front of a computer.

Well I'm only on page 36, stop posting so much people! :) So let me just post who I viewed last night and why since you all need to know that.
I viewed Grammaticus last night. I had several people to choose from, but chose Gram because I was suspicious of his change in vote to save me since he wasn't one of the three people I had viewed as good, and just wanted to make sure he was on our side. I am happy to report Grammaticus is on the side of Light. So I thank you for saving me last night.

Sure.
What he is telling you is that using the fact that my name doesn't match the pages of a book is a poor reason to vote for me and you shouldn't do it.
I'm telling you guys, I'm a good guy and my name not matching the book has no bearing on the game.
