Has anyone noticed whether mentors who are good at one coverage are useful to players who are good in a different coverage? I have a mentor CB who is good at zone, but all of my young CBs are bump and run guys. I haven't noticed any of them progressing all that fast. Inquiring minds want to know.

You should cut those mentors man. They're no good or you.

It has never been discussed i think, but i have always believed that mentors are only related to position not to their abillities so on which coverage is the mentor good or bad shouldn't affect at all his mentor effectivity.

On a serious note, this is what I believe, but i'm not sure anyyone has done a skillset study.
