Watching it on Gamespot. So far they've announced Fable 2 and Grand Theft Auto 4, saying both (I think) will be out in October (before PS3 launch). Also, they keep mentioning episodic gaming on Marketplace.

The Halo 3 trailer should be available on XBox Live.

Hopefully Blizzard will finally announce what the new Alliance race in the upcoming WoW expansion is.

They announce an immediate $100 price drop to the premium unit and I say PS3 can wait for a price drop. :)

Shadowrun(well it's based off a license)

I'm worried about how this one is being handled. Is this going to be a FPS? I really hope not...

How many of these are first person shooters? From that list, I can see Mass Effect, Too Human, Shadowrun and Gears of War will all be FPS. Until they start making good games for the 360 that aren't FPS, I'll stay away, thank you.

Mass Effect isn't a FPS. It's an action-RPG from Bioware.

Shadowrun, however, *will* be a FPS.

Mass Effect is an RPG, in the vein of KOTOR, and Too Human/Gears are 3rd person games...so I'm not sure where you are getting some of your information. Shadowrun is an FPS though.

edit: Izulde beat me to the punch on some of this

Yeah, that's a shame unless they can Metroid Prime it and I have yet to see anyone else be able to do that.

Silly since the original for the Genesis and SNES, while it didn't quite capture the spirit of the RPG, was a fun game in and of itself, played like a lot of modern American RPGs but on a smaller scale. I figured when I saw the annoucement yesterday that it would certainly be something like that but I guess not :(

Actually --

Mass Effect = Action/RPG

Too Human = Devil May Cry type hack & slash

Gears of War = 3rd Person Shooter

I'm not holding my breath on that Too Human game coming out. :) I remember it for sure on the GameCube... Was waiting for it, and it never came out.

Actually, just did some searching on IGN... it was made by Silicon Knights, who I believe made Eternal Darkness for the Cube (which is why I was interested in it). Also, it appears as though the game was first slated for release on the original Playstation, and screenshots were available on May 23, 2000!!! Talk about a long development time. :)

Still doesn't beat Duke Nukem Forever. :)

Shadowrun on the SNES is still one of my favorite games ever.

Yeah, it's been a long time coming. That said, I'm not convinced that when it comes out, it will even be that good any more. Perfect Dark Zero has been in the pipes nearly as long and while it was a decent launch game, it was just that- no more no less.
