TV Contract

Stupid question - where can I find out how much and how long the current TV contract is? Is it only available when you're notified? I want to know what my cap increases are going to be and when they'll change.

That is correct. If you have a save from the previous season you can figure out the cap increase each year. You won't be able to know how many years the contract is until you receive a new email about a new TV contract which will list the years again.

If your playing single player, you could SAVE your game and turn off game logs and box score logs in the global options (if you have them enabled), and then keep simming through the seasons until you get an email at the beginning of a season that tells you about a new TV contract. You will then know how long your current TV deal will last. You can then load up your saved game and turn the log options back to your preference.

Edited to add: Oh, make sure to select NO for autosave after each season in the global options panel. Either that or when you save your game save the game under a new name.

You know, I never bothered to check this, but it would be kind of nice to know.

One way you can check your cap increases is to look at your roster, and it will indicate "Salary Cap next year" at the bottom. Still doesn't say when the contract ends, though.

That's actually 'cap used' next year, not what the actual cap will be.
